Dark Botherhood Initiate won't stop following

This is a gamebreaker for me, and I really would rather not go back several saves so I was hoping someone here would have an answer for me.

I asked one of the dark brotherhood initiates (the female) to follow me recently but after watching her set off every trap available I would like her to go back to the Dawnstar sanctuary and continue alone. This is the first follower I've used since I started playing and was back in Riverwood so I can't pinpoint even to a rough idea of what could be causing this, but after asking her to head back, she continues to follow me around. I can then tell her to follow me again and then ask her to head back, and she still follows (she does not unsheathe when I do however). She is an essential NPC so the console command 'kill' does not help, and 'resurrect' doesn't seem to do anything. Th command 'set playerfollowercount to 0' does nothing as well. I tried attacking her but she still follows me and then won't talk to me unless I go pay Nazir the fine. I tried telling her to wait and running off, but she continues to follow me.

I'm sick of getting hit by traps she sets off, and having those traps alert enemies to our presence and really would rather not have her around.

For what it's worth, I'm a male Kahjiit, and the only mods I have are the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and Unofficial Hearthfire patch, and I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing to both, but it hasn't done anything.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind of funny to tell you the truth ... Well sounds like you have a problem. I can think of a few ways to handle this.

Turn her essential off and umm ... Pick a new follower and this time don't go for the looks ... possibly install

a NPC multiple follower mod. Or a mod i just looked at called ... Followers Die, here on the Nexus.

Anyways, sorry for the /pokes /I jest only ... Good luck !

(I'd keep her myself, sounds like a good woman)
