ziitch
I've got the 21.5" version of that, and I can vouch that it's pretty good for the price you pay. I had a 19" before this one though, and it put out a better contrast ratio of 1500:1; It had problems with overheating and shutting off though. In fact, here's what I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001545 Edited January 25, 2013 by ziitch

FMod
after finding a dead white pixel, not just one but two on my view sonic led. Honestly i would go back to lcd any day. It is a LCD. Just with a LED backlight. Sigghh!!, anyways i need help finding one over 60hz, maybe even a decent 3d monitor under 400$ would be niceWhat's up with "over 60Hz"? It's not easy. Almost everything is 60Hz. A few displays are 75Hz. There are 120Hz 3D models, but they have relatively poor image quality due to fast TN panels. Other than that I've made a few posts on the topic in this thread:http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/857902-monitor-is-near-death-need-advice/
Thor.
Better for gaming in general, the higher the refresh rate the better the shadows and quality of the game in general, not just gaming its for everything . trust me if i had a way to get a 120 hertz monitor i will. Because after owning a first gen 120 hertz Sharp Aquos for 5 years, i could see the difference. I wished i had the same quality as i do with my tv. So i decided to get a 3d monitor, not just for the 3d, but for the crispness that 120 hertz gives you. Trust me it makes a big difference.http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gifnow that 240 hertz for monitors is coming out slowly, i decided its time. especially sense my viewsonic led has two white dead pixels, its very distracting.http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/facepalm.gif Edited January 25, 2013 by Thor. FMod
...I don't even have an answer to that. 120Hz on TVs means a different thing, since TVs can only display a maximum of 60 Hz of actual content, there's no 120 Hz input. I've seen it all, and have more than one TV with >120Hz refresh rate myself. You are misattributing the changes caused by a better display or by different firmware settings when activating that mode on it to refresh rate itself. But since you're set on that 120Hz - so just buy one, they are pretty cheap.
Thor.
There is a difference, trust me. you have to experience it yourself. Better response timehttp://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif it makes it easier for the eye to track things on screen, its kind of hard to explain. No firmware update needed for the my model. Although allows it via usb. Here is what i mean, by the difference... http://3dvision-blog.com/288-120hz-lcd-samsung-2233rz-versus-60hz-lcd-benq-g2220hd/ Edited January 26, 2013 by Thor. FMod
I have several TVs with 120Hz, 200Hz and 240Hz panel refresh (that's real rate, claimed is 240, 480, 400 and 800). This is not counting ones I used to have, inc. 120Hz specifically. What makes you think I haven't experienced it in dozens of implementations and variations? From your description, I'm not even sure if you are talking about real 120 Hz (not possible with HDMI) or artificial frame rate increase like TruMotion, Natural, Uber or whatever Motion they call it. That is only usable for video content due to input lag. Real 120Hz is rendering in 120Hz and pushing it via DVI. It makes a little difference for competitive multiplayer shooters. By firmware changes I don't mean updates, but that some (many really) TVs are hard-set to only deliver maximum brightness and contrast when their "improvement" engine is on.
