Zorkaz Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Has anyone found a good way for Steam not to be a prerequisite to make Fallout 4 start?
YouDoNotKnowMyName Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Has anyone found a good way for Steam not to be a prerequisite to make Fallout 4 start?Yes, I miss the "good old days", when you could just start a installed game and not had to have any stupid spyware marketing crap other application running in the background. For somebody who just plays "singleplayer games", something like Steam is just pointless. If I want to buy a game, I go to a local store and buy it.But no, you still have to "go through steam" to get the game working ... Glad to see I am not the only person that is annoyed by this ..... But sorry, I don't have a solution.
Zorkaz Posted August 8, 2020 Author Posted August 8, 2020 Use an Xbox :ninja:I'm not that desperate :P
juggernuts12 Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 The only way to is by editing the steam_dll file and that is considered piracy, due to the fact that it would allow you to play a game you don't own (dont do it lol). May I ask why you don't want steam running. The only reason it runs is to make sure you own the game, which is reasonable.
