axonis
Would you consider using torrents for high traffic downloads ?
PrimalScream
Considering what I pay for the massive database of mods and info, and factoring in the price of the monumental improvements to my game(s) made by skilled modders, Id say the downtime is not worth complaining about. Oh wait, its all provided to the community free of charge and through the sweat of people that are pretty dedicated to something amazing being a gift for the world. The Nexus rocks and nobody should ever forget it!
BiskmatarCatalyst
All the things you listed in this post is why I got a lifetime premium membership. What I've gotten out of this site has far outweighed the money I've given you, and I'd give you more if I could. Thanks for everything so far, and I look forward to where you take things in the future.
TheInquisitor
@BiskmatarCatalyst: I completely agree. As soon as my next pay packet comes in I'm jumping on board as well. It's well worth it and the benefits of a modding community like this far outweighs any money I, or anyone else, could donate to keep it running. retakrew7
@ Dark0ne How about you set up a paypal donation project especially for the purpose of new servers? It would show the estimated costs and how much money already came in.I would donate. I guess some people would, too.
Farvahar
Put the mod manager on steam so that people can buy it as a way of saying thank you. You could also do a formal expansion for Bethesda of mods or some such
Mardoxx
"because being greeted with “Ah that sucks, I hope you can fix it soon! Good luck!” is better than being attacked with “WTF this is the worst pile of crap I’ve ever used and you should be ashamed” when something goes wrong." You should read the comments on mods... Smithy8910
Ah, if only we had someone running the country based on the idea of providing a quality service instead of lining their own pockets. Great site, I hardly notice any downtime, maybe once or twice since I joined a couple of years ago. It was out of genuine appreciation that I bought lifetime membership, (with optimism of future ES games). A voluntary donation option as retakrew7 says below, should be warmly received. Long live The Nexus.
