Eloriel
Im not a modder, but have an idea for mod. All storages (chests, sachels, etc.) are limitless and it breaks immersion. Fact taht you can stuff your apotecary sachel with tousands of herbs or even weapons is ridiculous. Idea is to make storages be able to store only type of items what seems logical to fit in. And make all player storages be limited in storage room/amount or weight.
Gerandirr
I'm normally all for realism, but the normal storage chests are so small, that they would be useless if they worked like real world chests. For example, I could only fit in two or three dozen ingots in it, staves would never fit in any chest, and so on and so forth.See what I mean ? sevencardz
How about a mod that lets you place more storage devices in your home (or anywhere for that matter). I do this through the console, but it's a pain. Options to place (and remove) things like tanning racks, workbenches, etc would be nice too. It would literally just be a GUI for the console. I converted the Alchemy Room in my Vlindrel Hall to a have an anvil and a tanning rack, outside on the porch is the grindstone and workbench. There's also a chest in every room now. Spawn Chest: player.placeatme 1d13cSpawn Arcane Enchanter: player.placeatme bad0dSpawn Anvil: player.placeatme 1a2adSpawn Tanning Rack: player.placeatme 727a1Spawn Grindstone: player.placeatme 6e9c2Spawn Workbench: player.placeatme d932f What would really be nice is if you could make storage categories with unique names and set one to be default. Who here has accidentally hit the button to take EVERYTHING in your chest and then spent the next 20 minutes extracting out the junk you didn't want back into your chest? Such a pain. Why can't I setup storage categories in my character's inventory or in chests? One category for follower items, one for essential gear, one for stuff I want to sell, a default one for all the junk I pick up on my journeys. The SkyUI guys would probably have to be involved for the best implementation.
cscottydont
You could limit chest capacity by filtering it through a dummy npcs inventory with a script. Downside is you'd need a script on every chest.
