abiisan Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I've been reading about the errors others have run into and checked the descriptions and comments for a number of my installed mods, yet I haven't seen suggestions for the same issue I'm having. I crash to the desktop the moment the Skyrim symbol appears at the game's start, just after the initial scroll. I've tried turning off all of my mods (there are quite a few) at least once but haven't had any luck preventing this. Are any of the major mods confirmed to be likely to cause this at this point?

abiisan Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Sounds like your missing a file. Were did you get Dragonborn from? Steam. It's a legal copy and it has worked fine since the game released. This is new with Dragonborn.
Sharlikran Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) You should verify your cache and then run TES5Edit 3.0.26 on Update, Dawnguard, and Herthfires. Don't clean Dragonborn yet until the new version. Then watch my YouTube Videos. I tend to ramble but I'm going to try and post revised versions after things calm down with TES5Edit. I just noticed that it keeps informing me that one file failed to verify and will be reacquired, regardless of how many times I verify my cache. I've not seen any significant holes, but any thoughts on what this file probably is, if it keeps dropping?
