HeyYou
Open the console, type in: fov XX XXsaveini Exit the console. Where XX is the field of view you desire, first set if main game, second set is in pipboy.

Is there a standardized number or how do people set it?
HeyYou
I think a lotta folks just set both numbers the same.
Moksha8088
Tried looking into that on a google search. I think that method is more for people who want to permanently set their FOV to a higher number, rather than using it as an adjunct for better screenshots. Since I did not find its use spoken of besides that permanent purpose, it seems that the answer is FOV cannot be used for the screenshots without messing up the Pipboy.
