Can't absorb dragon souls

FYI, I'm running Dawnguard, Dragonborn, the three main Unofficial Patches, and SKSE. I'm not sure what caused the problem, but that little 7k script cured it!

This means you have to go to you Data folder wherever your Skyrim Files are saved and reconfigure the order according to the above positions. The reason for this is because when you launch the game, it reads the files in the order you put them, so if dragonborn patch comes before skyrim, the system will read the dragonborn patch, fixing the glitch, but then read the plain-skyrim patch, unfixing the glitch. Hope this helps.

I updated skse, and added the new dragon ai mod, and one of them broke soul absorption. The soul absorption fix mod linked in post 31 fixed my issue.

i still have the issue even after that fix corwin78 mentioned :( nothing at all no burning , i have all the unofficial patches updated and skyrim itself , and i did what was said in the unofficial dragonborn thread > remove dragon soul absorb more glorious and its belongings and the actordragonkill.pex

but still can't absorb any souls :( any suggestions ?

Having patched and updated various files, I didn't pay any attention to the load order until I was no longer absorbing dragon souls.

ok, I had dragonborn dlc with unofficial db patch, i ran into this problem. Then uninstalled all the mods, dlc, and unofficial patches to do a clean run to see if I can still absorb souls. I still cant, anything on that?

I dont have the skyrim.esm or update.esm i have dawnguard dragonborn hearthfire and SkyMoMod.esm i put Sky, then Dawn, Hearth,and lastly dragonborn ill see if it fixes

I have been battling with this bug for days and the ONLY way I have been able to come around it is to disable the unofficial skyrim patch. Don't know if I really can recommend this, but it worked for me.

So in trying out every single fix in this thread I found out that I don't have an mqkilldragonscript.pex at all, anywhere. Just wondering if someone know how that could have happened and whether or not that's my problem.
