SoulofChrysamere
The inspiration for this one came from a song off of Pinky and the Brain. Look up "A Meticulous Analysis of History" on youtube. It has a couple of questionable wisecracks in it, so I'd rather not post it directly. Sorry.=================================================================================================================================================================Anyway, here we are. Cyrodiil's forts. (Note that while most are ruined, a couple aren't, such as Cloud Ruler Temple.)-------------------------------------------------Most forts dotting Cyrodiil’s landsAre shambled and in enemy hands,And there’s more than just a small fewSo sit back and enjoy this song, won’t you?Maybe you’ll learn all the forts’ names this way too! There’s Crowhaven, Naso, Black Boot,Farragut, Gold-Throat, and Dirich too,And also Aurus and Doublecross,And Bulwark overgrown with swampy moss! Tucked behind the Jeralls’ heights,Pale Pass spends its countless nights. There’s Sutch, Istirus and Nikel,Also Rayles, Ontus and Wariel.Oh, and don’t forget Fort Hastrel! Magia, Irony, EntiusAlong with Homestead, Sejanus,And Vlastarus down in the West Weald,All alone in its little private field! The goblin den of Urasek,Ash on Chorrol’s eastern bottleneck.South of Bravil is Ser Aren’s tower.Cloud Ruler, center of Blades power.Southwest of Chorrol lies Vlindrel’s Tower! Redman, Virtue, Empire,Horunn southeast of Frostcrag Spire,And west of Chorrol, now reborn,Lies the old castle of Battlehorn! Linchal and then Redwater,Home to vampiric squatters,Variela, and Wooden Hand,Facian, Blueblood, Cuptor, and Strand!Nomore, Cedrian, and Teleman! Sundercliff Watch’s vast insidesWhere Mehrunes’s Razor now resides,And the ancient bastion Sancre TorWith the old rulers' tombs within its core! Coldcorn, Alessia, Flescia,Caractacus, and Scinia,Grief on its island in Niben Bay,The site of a loan shark’s grim foray!Carmala down south of Chorrol way! Arkved’s Tower in Vaermina’s grasp,Dasek Moor in the undead’s clasp,And now I guess I’m done todaySince there’s no more fort names left to say! Maharg67
Excellent as a poem and I like that it highlights that there are so many abandoned forts in the Empire of Tamriel. One would have thought they would have kept at least some of them active or at least free of enemies. Enjoyed!
