karlos21cz
Hey guys! I'm fully aware that this is a covered topic from lots of different sources, but Im a troubleshooting dummie and realy not good with PC but tried everything I read.I decided to give a go to Skyrim with modes and just follow basic tutors on how to do it but Im just not able to run any auto sorting tools. BOSS, LOOT, TES5Edit not even Mod organizer cant run Skyrim SE because its nowhere to find. All the time the average answer for this issue was to launch the game to create the registry but this isn't working and all the more complex solutions either. It's a freshly installed original copie so how is it the none of these programs could recognize the game?See all the popups attached. Im just at the point of giving up... DoctorKaizeld
First step is to not use BOSS it's outdated and it's predecessor LOOT is far better. Second do you have special edition? Or do you have oldrim?
nt5raham
Can you start the game at this point and play? If not, rather than starting Skyrim or Skyrim SE from another program, have you tried simply going to the game folder and double-clicking on the executable? if that still doesn't work, you may need to "Verify Integrity Of Game Files" in Steam. Open Steam and go to:LibraryRight click on the game (either Skyrim or Skyrim SE)PropertiesLocal FilesVerify Integrity of Game FilesAnd if that still doesn't work, you can uninstall the game and reinstall it from scratch. Also, I'm with DoctorKaizeld. Keep in mind that a lot of the tutorials out there are old, outdated, and should not be used. Watch the date! And to carry those comments further, if you are new to modding and want a simpler and more "dummie proof" tool, use Vortex. Vortex has LOOT built in. Here's a good place to start: GamerPoets puts out a lot of videos on a variety of tools, so once you're comfortable with the first one, you can search and move on to the next. TES5Edit is for Oldrim, and you will need SSEEdit if you are running Special Edition. The screenshots are showing registry errors and pathing errors, which could be from a failed installation from Steam, or it could be simply because BOSS is outdated as Doc mentioned. karlos21cz
nt5raham I have already lounched the game and it runs no problem, also instaled some modes and now I would like to sort the conflicts.I tried all the diferent programs just to find out if just something works but LOOT is my go to.I just cant get why a freshly instaled game in steam cant be detected by any software(also just verifyed the integrity and its fine). How is the LOOT build in to Vortex? I thought that I need to and it as program. Thanks
DoctorKaizeld
Vortex auto sorts the mods for you. You don't need LOOT
