EvilDeadAsh34
Is this possible or does it cause problems? I currently use TesModManager but i need to try out NMM because i'm going to make an installer for one of my mods and i need to know if it will work correctly with both mod managers. I seem to recall there being an issue with this but i can't remember. Any help or advice appreciated.
hard8
I use the one that came with the game and manually install my mods with Fallout, Fallout Mod Manager can be used with Fallout 3 and New Vegas Edited February 11, 2013 by hard8
EvilDeadAsh34
I also manually install my mods. Only difference is i use TesModManager to activate my esp's. My point of asking the question is that i'm looking to make an installer for one of my mods and i'd like to use NMM and TesModManager at the same time so i can test if my installer is properly set up to use with both. I need to know if it's going to screw anything up in my game if i do indeed try it.
AvengerJikir
Both mod managers work together fine without any in-game issues. The only practical issue is that they don't sync. If somebody's downloaded a mod on one Mod Manager, it won't be visible as a mod on the other. The esps will show in the load order but they won't be recognised as part of a mod. I don't think uninstalling a mod will work on the other Mod Manager if you install a Mod on one. It's pretty simple to just use one mod manager to install omods though(or whatever they're called these days). I'm pretty sure an installer designed for NMM should work for TesModManager too. TesModManager is advertised as being capable of installing Fomods. (I've never tried though. Might need clarification here)
EvilDeadAsh34
Okay, cool. I only planned on using both for testing purposes anyway. P.S. Yes, TesModManager can use FOMODs although i rarely use that feature.
