Can the CK correct this? (weapon floating off of character's hip)

I'd like to know where I can learn how to reposition weapons that are shown on characters when equipped.

I want to go around using a Skyforge Steel Sword, but there is something annoying with it when I wear the armor I want to wear (Steel Plate Armor). The weapon floats off of my character's hip. Here are some pics:

Will I be able to adjust it's placement with the CK? If I can, will it conflict with this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17746 and will it conflict with this: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/716366-i-found-a-way-to-make-multiple-weapons-show-up/page__gopid__5692880&do=findComment&comment=5692880 (It is an .ini tweak).

CK cannot fix this. I'ts part of the skeleton mesh.

You would have to change it every time you wear a different armor because most armor have different shape and the weapon would either be floating outside or be clipping inside.

It can be done in nifskope if you still want to do it. Load your skeleton and find the right bone (WeaponSword for example) then right click and chose transform>edit, then move it on the X,Y or Z axis (X in your case). Then save (always keep a backup) and try it in game until you're fine with your setting.

Modifying your skeleton is the better solution. In that a "weapon adjust" may fix one weapon but completely mess up others. This was a huge issues for me with Skyrim. I ended up creating a new skeleton with NifSkope to fix all my clipping issues. Also fix the placement and quiver float. Really did it up nice. Problem is for you my main toon is female, so I never created a male version.

Anyways, check it out to see how well this works. Really did my homework on this mod and feel it is the best placement skeleton (for females) you could have. There is also on that mods Main Page a weight trick that may work as well in your case.

I will try your mod. I do have a female character, btw. I always play female characters in Skyrim.

Do you know of the mod Dual Sheaths plus Shields on Back (DSpSoB)? I know that it has issues with skeletons. Do you know if your mod will work with DSpSoB?

How would I do a weapon adjust in the CK? I tried doing that with Steel Plate Armor in the CK, but it made no difference. However, I'm not good with the CK, so maybe I did something wrong. Maybe I made a mistake somewhere. Maybe I made a mistake when I saved the file.

Edit: I don't know how to make changes to Steel Plate Armor and it's weapon adjust stay. I make the changes, and then they don't stay. I tried saving my work, and I save a plug-in, but I don't think I'm doing things right. I activated the plug-in and nothing happened. I dunno what I did by saving a plug-in. So I deleted that.

I'm not too good with the CK. I can change the weapon adjust for Steel Plate Armor in the CK, but I don't know how to make my changes stay in place.

How do you modify "weapon adjust" in the CK? I was told to modify the weapon adjust box in armor addon. I went into the CK, loaded Skyrim.esm and update.esm, saved a file called "SteelPlateArmorWeaponAdjust", went to weapon adjust and modified the numbers, clicked okay, saved the file into my data folder, and then activated the file and started Skyrim, and the sword still floats off of the hip. No difference. Am I doing anything wrong? I set weapon adjust to 0.00.
