MedievalMace
According to the crash logs in the F4SE folder that Buffout4 makes, XAudio2_7.dll seems to be having an "Exception Access Violation". I tried replacing XAudio2_7.dll with a renamed XAudio2_9.dll as well as replacing it with UBI's version, both of which let the game play for longer, albeit without sound. In the attached files is the crashlog (in .txt form) from Buffout4 and my load order from Vortex. Is there any way I can fix this? My game keeps constantly crashing from anywhere between 1 to 15 minutes after launch, and I'd much rather play with sound than without.
HeyYou
Stop using Buffout 4? It seems the problem you are encountering is fairly common, and a known issue at that. (problem with the dll file itself.)
MedievalMace
First I tried updating Buffout 4 to the latest version, still crashed within a minute. I tried uninstalling Buffout 4, still no dice. I tried uninstalling both Buffout 4 and Address Library for F4SE, still crashed. I'm still at a loss of what to do. HeyYou
Probably an incomplete uninstall. You may have to go thru and manually remove the associated files.
MedievalMace
It wasn't an incomplete uninstall, I manually deleted the files the first time. The only way the game keeps running is if I delete the XAudio2_7.dll, which is something I *really* do not want to do.
HeyYou
I see other folks with the same issue in the mods comment thread, so, you aren't the only person experiencing this particular problem....... Gonna be something the mod author has to solve.
