Netrogor
I'll start this off by telling you... you're screwed - you will have to make a new game. Get one of the plugins this long post mentions (AlternateStart). After making your character, it instantly teleports you outside of the Vault, main-quest in-hand and ready to go. Be warned, however, as it will not let you take the first Bobblehead you can potentially get with you! Lack of mods can cause a save to crash, too. I was testing this earlier. If you get a perk-adding plugin, get the perk on your save, then remove/deactivate the plugin, your character save will corrupt if you then attempt to load it. It seems the very act of loading, minus certain mods that were once present, will corrupt the actual .fos files (save games). I also noticed that a character save corrupted when I tried removing a cheat mod, norepair, after having started up and saved with it on. Due to how edgy Fallout 3 (at least, on steam) is, when it comes to mods and whether or not it will work (or lack of mods and whether or not it will work), I've spent the latter half of my Christmas testing mods, finding out which ones are, at the very least, pseudo-safe to use without fear of corrupting a save or crashing frequently. As I find more of them, that are worth having, I am compiling them to one massive .ZIP file. Maybe, if I feel like sharing, I'll do just that... but the makers of these mods/tweaks are likely not finished updating them, so I won't waste my time putting up stuff that will be outdated in short time (and may, in the future, end up conflicting anyways). Anyways, you may simply have to reinstall your Data folder in Fallout 3. I'm not quite sure, though, since, as I mentioned, I got Fallout 3 over the Steam distribution platform. I simply "Verify Game Cache Integrity", and it redownloads/installs vanilla everything. As to what mods I've tested and have gotten working together, minus crashing and the likes ->Accuracy Tweaks AlternateStart BigTownRobotFix Containers Respawn CyborgFriendv1 Mart's Mutant Mod - Increased Spawns Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn MaxLevelWorkaround norepairneeded(fix) Perk_chakrapointsENGfix PowerArmorTraining RealPhysicsWithCarExplosions ReneerInvisibleKarmaMod Repair Rethought Starke's Enhancement Perks UPP-Lite Wasteland MasteryI didn't test the other various of the RealPhysics bit (no/less explosions). I also didn't test UPP-Full, as my CyborgFriend mod toys with a vanilla perk as is.Finally, I would like to give a personal thanks to those mod makers (too tired to look up their names atm, but I will do so... someday!) who were responsible for the mods/tweaks I use. May Bethesda fix enough of the bugs in their game to make it enjoyable enough to fully appreciate your work. ^^
Monolithic0117
Do all of your save games crash, or only one? Have you tried starting a new game, saving it, and then reloading it? If all your save games crash, it could be because the load order needs to be changed - Get Fallout 3 Mod Manager and switch around the load order, the most important mods need to be moved to the bottom. The reason the saves don't work when you deactivate your mods could be because they're dependent on one or more of the mods you have. It would be very beneficial if you post a list of your mods. Good luck.
Netrogor
Monolith, you should give him a proper link... a "Fixed Crosshair" mod doesn't appear to be a mod manager. ^^ Here's the proper link for the mod manager ->http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=
