clp120591
I'm trying to install the latest version of SkyUI using the Skyrim Mod Organizer, but for some reason it is not detecting SKSE. I've uninstalled and reinstalled SKSE following the included instructions exactly with no success. Has anyone had a similar problem within my circumstances? If so, do you know of a solution? Notes:When entering GetSKSEVersion into the console after launch, it registers SKSE as functioning.I am running both SKSE_loader.exe and Skyrim Mod Organizer in Administrator mode.I have made sure that any older versions of SkyUI have been completely uninstalled. When trying to access SkyUI in-game, I receive error messages like these.SkyUI's Mod Configuration Menu functions perfectly for some reason while the rest of the mod does not. Are you using the SKSE launcher instead of the Skyrim Launcher? SKSE won't be detected unless you launch Skyrim using skse_loader.exe.

steve40
You need to launch SKSE as Administrator.
clp120591
steve40, on 15 Feb 2013 - 22:59, said:You need to launch SKSE as Administrator.Okay, I changed it so SKSE_loader and my Mod Organizer would run as Administrator. However, when I try to install SkyUI, I still recieve the same error message saying that it isn't detecting SKSE. Also, when attempting to make a clean save by saving a game with SkyUI uninstalled, it caused that save file to become corrupt. Never mind. EDIT: Also, when trying to run SkyUI in game, I get these messages whenever I try to open a menu. However, when going to the mod configuration menu, everything is fine. ripple
Since you are using MO, first thing i want to make sure is that you 1) installed SKSE externally, like all utilities, and not as a 'mod' through MO, but 2) have set up SKSE as an executable in MO, and launch SKSE in MO to start the game, 3) is using the latest version of MO. If so, some things to try to get rid of the error message: 1) when installing SkyUI in MO, when asked if you want to unpack the BSA, select yes.2) alternatively, install the SkyUI BSA without unpacking, but leave it -unticked- in MO's BSA load order. Technically, there shouldn't be a need to do either of the above to get SkyUI working with the lastest version of the MO, but these were the 'worl arounds' for a previous version of MO. clp120591
I haven't updated MO in a while, so I may be using an outdated version. Let me update it and get back to you about the results. Welp, looks like updating MO seemed to have did the trick! Many thanks, ripple! I appreciate the help. scrivener07
Not sure when exactly but at one point MO and SkyUI had issues because MO unpacks BSA files but Im pretty sure that got fixed a while ago. MO unpacks BSA files so they are affected by load order.
Renewhm
Damn it... I've tried all this stuff and not working... This problem started when I began to use MO two days ago. The only thing that isn't working for me is the mod configuration menu. The other UI aspects work. damn it... I'm assuming the mods compatible aren't working either, except just the interface aspect. Immersive hud isn't working :/ Edited February 17, 2013 by Renewhm
