CTD when killing Dragon

Like title says. Took a quest to kill the dragon at Dragontooth Crater and every time I killed it, it CTD. Updated two mods (Racemenu and Diverse Random Normal Attack) and added two other mods (Diverse Dragon Collection and Thematic Loot). I tried to remove the new mods first but it did nothing. Then I went to remove the updated mods. Removing racemenu caused my game to crash immediately after leaving the building. DRNA did nothing upon removal.

don't have any of the others

will try reverting racemenu

 

confirmed newest racemenu needs bug update

revert to 0.4.14 solved my CTD problem

I am getting the same exact thing, I did a reinstall of skyrim last night because I couldnt find the bad mod. With zero mods can kill the dragon fine, with Race Menu only, get ctd as soon as it starts to burn up upon death.

 

Might be a dumb question, but what does race menu have to do with dragons dying?

Ah I see. Thank you for confirming. Will be reverting back to old racemenu in the meantime.

That is what I would like to know as well. I will ask this question to the mod author of Racemenu.

 

Edit 1: Apparently, this is a common problem (CTD) for 4.15 (latest update). Many people are suggesting to revert back to 4.14 and stay there until further answers are given. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19080?tab=posts

I had exact same issue!

 

Thanks for the post guys, meant I could fix it super quickly.

 

The older Racemenu seems to work fine!

This crash was / is caused by RaceMenu, version 0.4.15. Please update to version 0.4.16

Version 0.4.16

Fixed crash introduced in 0.4.15 affecting a wide variety of areas, essentially any cell containing actors who don't have Character Creation data, e.g. Draugr
