Wanted to change something that bothered me slightly about a mod, but I'm not a coder. After 4 hours I got to the point of having Visual Studio assemble a DLL only for it to throw errors about missing assembly references to things like Harmony.dll, which I know are used by ModTek/BTML but I have no idea how to compile the mod 'against' this, or whatever I'm meant to do. But, apparently, compiling is very simple for persons who know how.

I'm afraid I can't help with your query and I have no idea where such information is posted. There's this Discord server linked on the BattleTech Modding Reddit: https://discord.gg/zRptMZD

of course it is, and no one is going to tell you or tell me how, I've looked, searched etc

The only thing i've found is "it's a secret"

so all the people whom keep it a secret ...

Calling bullshit on that

Calling bulls*** on that

that's ok

I know what I have done in search for making a dll mods for BT

The game uses C Sharp, which is a managed language

The dll for BT has methods

The questions that have not been answered are simple

Which dll is accessible?

which methods are used?

I know how to add the methods and create a dll

There is or should be a list of dll that are used to make mods .... as far as I know it does not exist

I understand how to use jason's to change items, stats, settings

I understand how to use the game editors that HBS have supplied.

Thanks for your input

I interpreted you saying

The only thing i've found is "it's a secret"

As other BT people telling you that as a reason for not helping.

If that's not what you meant then please reconsider using quotes in that way.
