Skyrim crashing randomly

Skyrim crashes to desktop, or sometimes freezes instead, at random times, though mostly when pressing escape to bring up the main menu, or J to open the journal.

 

Sometimes it won't crash for an hour or two, but mostly it crashes somewhere between 2-30 minutes

 

 

System specs:

 

Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.60 GHz

Installed RAM: 8GB

 

 

Skyrim Version: 1.9.32.08

 

I'm using Vortex, LOOT, and Tes5Edit, all up to date

do you have the steam overlay on? That has a tendency to cause crashing even when you don't use it

I think it worked! It didn't crash at all while I was playing, though it might have just been luck. But I'm gonna hope it stays working, and if it starts crashing again I'll update this post, but for now, thank you so much!
