Script extender problem M02

Hello, new here. I recently went from vortex to M02 and am encountering a problem in there. I installed the CACAO mod, complete alchemy and cooking overhaul. However in my notifications this appears ...

Script extender log reports incompatible plugins.

The failed plugins are:

• Couldn't load DP_Extender.dll (Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul). The last error code was 1114.

• example plugin version 1 (ExATKDataPlugin.dll, Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul) reported as incompatible during query.

• Couldn't load MagExtender.dll (Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul). The last error code was 1114.

I uninstalled the mod, reinstalled it. Same problem. I am using the latest SKSE version, I can't make heads or tails of it. Wondering if someone could help me out with this, would appreciate it. I don't know if it's relevant however I also have a notification (only two lol) that I have files in my overwrite folder. Thank you in advance for your help.

Files in your overwrite folder can come from several sources and it depends upon what you are doing. If you ran a third party tool from inside MO2 and it needed to create a new file inside the game's data folder, that file will be in the overwrite folder. If you ran the Creation Kit from inside MO2 any new files created would be found in the overwrite folder as well. Some mods create log files or save data to a file when playing the game, new instances of such files will be in the overwrite folder.

It should be noted that any file modified that already has an existing active instance of that file will have that active instance modified instead of going to the overwrite folder. So if mod A, mod B and mod C all have the same file where due to priority ordering mod B is the 'winner' then any changes to said file will affect the one in mod B rather than A or C.

For example, RaceMenu allows you to create and save presets. These files will appear in your overwrite folder when that game session is complete. You can create a new mod folder with those contents or move them to a folder that you already created.

As far as the DLL files go, I do not know. It could be that CACO needs to be updated to run with the latest SKSE. But it could also be that you have the wrong version of SKSE installed for the game. Ensure that you have the correct SKSE installed. Otherwise ask in the mod comments section for the mod in question. Perhaps the author or another user of the mod has encountered this before.

SKSE version ----------------- Game version

Current classic build 1.7.3 - Skyrim LE (aka original Skyrim)

Current SE build 2.0.19 ---- Skyrim Special Edition

Current VR build 2.0.12 ---- Skyrim VR Edition

Does CACO actually work on your game? Sometimes MO will flag skse files as incompatible, even though they work fine. I get a similar error with Simply Knock in SE.

Did you check the CACO mod page and see if anyone else has this problem? You might have better luck there.
