rileyv2386
I have spent a bunch of time installing mods with mod manager, just for the mods not to work at all, they show up in my data but don't launch with the game. I have mods installed from the in game Bethesda mods. So I decided to install a couple mods manually and try to launch them, Wintersun and Immersive Armors. I downloaded them, zipped them and put them in the data folder, launched the game and neither mod was there.
HeyYou
The game doesn't understand .zip files. You also need to take steps to even allow the game to use additional assets. Might wanna start by reading this.
BlazeStryker
Sometimes Mod Manager/ModOrganizer/Vortex installed mods take a few starts to activate within the game. They're installed but the game engine overlooks them at first. Be patient, it does happen. Look up the formats used by your mod program of choice; NMM largely does 7Zip, winzip and .rar files but it UNPACKS them and files away the components in the proper places to become part of your game. If you have 7-Zip and the patience to install it properly, you can do a manual install. You'll have to unpackage the mod and put the contents in properly to do it, though... anjenthedog
All you have to do with a zip archive is unzip it, then recompress into 7 zip format. wham bam done. Really, it's no big deal and surely not worth any drama.
