Mod download speeds

I've been deleting and resorting and redownloading several mods since I picked up the Dragonborn DLC, and I noticed that automatically downloading using NMM I'm only getting a download speed of about 140ish kb/s. I went to the manual downloads on each mod page, and downloading through the Denver server(22 users), I get about 80 kb/s. Downloading through the normal server (I picked Dallas, TX (120ish users), which is closest to me in San Antonio), I'm getting about 3.5 mb/s. So, uhh. That's weird.

 

Also, NMM picks the Denver(2) servers over the Dallas server because they are premium and Dallas is not. Is the fault with my computer or internet connection? I get excellent speeds when downloading from the normal servers.

If you find you get better speeds from the normal servers rather than the Premium-only servers then untick the "use premium only" servers option in NMM's settings and it will use all the file servers available.

Leaving "premium only" unticked, it still automatically chooses the Denver(2) premium servers over the Dallas server. Also, it's not just better speeds, it's 80kb/s versus 3.5mb/s. Is something wrong with the premium servers?

We spoke to our provider today re: the Denver 2 server and they sound some sort of ambigious problem which is now fixed. I can now download at the Denver 2 server as fast as I can the Denver 1 server. Odd!
