Please Help Trying To Fix My Fallout 3

so here's the problem I've been doing a fallout 3 playthrough on my channel and i had stopped for awhile but i wanted to start it up again so i went to play fallout 3 and when i got the menu it had really low fps i used to be able to play fallout at at least 60 to 100 fps but now its just really bad fps unplayable please help me i can get it to fix by disable the audio in the fallout.ini file which works but now i have no sound and you cant do a playthrough without SOUND Thanks for helping me in advance if you see this

Post your hardware, I'm assuming its a driver issue if disabling sound fixed it. Try updating your audio drivers, if that does not work then it may be that drivers you HAVE updated to are not working, so you could try rolling back. Could also be direct X. There's tons of answers, we need more info though.
