95PercentStruggle
A few days ago the game was running fine with no fps drops, I have not downloaded any new mods since then and yet all of a sudden every single time I try to play fallout 4 I get massive fps drops every 2 minutes, has anyone else had this problem? HeyYou
Did windows do an update? Or is it currently trying to update in the background? How old is your harddrive the game is installed on? Installed any new software on your machine?
95PercentStruggle
I think windows made an update somewhat recently, and no I have not installed any new software
HeyYou
Have a second monitor you can plug in? If you do, have task manager running on it, and watch and see what processes are eating the CPU when you get your FPS drops. It's like some other process taking resources away from the game... or, a harddrive that is going bad......
95PercentStruggle
Don't have a second monitor, and I doubt it's my hard drive because it's only happening with fallout
HeyYou
So just bring up task manager, and on the processes tab, click on the CPU Usage column, to sort by that, and see what happens every couple minutes, if anything.
