SJKatt1918
It's been mentioned to me that the reason my creation kits look different to each other (previous post) is that one computer is running Special Edition and one is running Legendary Edition Skyrims. (A slight secondary question would be; why? They're the same game in Steam) In the version on my old computer I had the option to push plugin to PC and into my skyrim mod folder. I do not have the option on my new computer; the line is not there. Possible Notes: Is it because one of the computers uses the Bethesda modding system (in game) and the other uses the Vortex application for mod management? (If this is the case, how do I push the plug ins on my new computer to the game? Do I have to upload them to the Steam library? (Upload Active Plugin and Archive to Steam) If I do it this way, how do I then access the mod to test it and use it? Is there a way to test mods without uploading them, like in the older version I use? NOTE: I am autistic and my ability to make connections and leaps in logic is faulty; please try to explain it to me with the assumption that I will need very simplified step by step instructions. I recently asked someone about a patch for a 20 year old game and then could do nothing with the information as everyone I spoke to assumed I knew where to find a .exe file and how to edit it properly. (A slight secondary question would be; why? The CK will save the active datafile/esp to the data folder in your Skyrim directory but you will still need to activate it in your mod manager (or via the in-game mod menu option) for it to load into your game. Let me know if I can be clearer with my explanations - I may have misunderstood your questions.

Let me know if I can be clearer with my explanations - I may have misunderstood your questions. It might be me who is just bungling the explanation of what I'm asking. Let me see if I can break this down for myself and see if it helps you understand what I'm looking for. I asked in a previous post why my Creation Kits might look different between computers. It was suggested that one might be running SE and one LE. This confused me since they come from the same file; you have just now confirmed my confusion is valid. I no longer believe that to be the reason they are different. My theories:Am I running a different version of CK on my newer computer? The old computer has had CK for a while. This new one got CK downloaded onto it when I got the computer a few months ago. Or could it be because I do not use Vortex mod management on my old computer (OC in further conversation), and instead use the in-game modding options on the OC? Follow up information regarding the differences in CKs across my OC and NC (new computer): Old Computer: File dropdown list is as followsData...SaveSave and Push Plugin to PC Export (with additional dropdown list, of which I have not interacted with at all during CK tinkering)Preferences...Validate Loaded DataCreate ArchiveUpload Plugin and Archive to Bethseda.net (with additional dropdown list, of which PC, XB1 and PS4 are listed but grayed out) Compact Active File Form IDsCovert Active File to Light MasterLogin to Bethesda.net...Logout (Which is grayed out, assumedly because I am not logged in) Exit Old Computer Info: Running Windows 10, bought the computer 4 years ago, Skyrim modding through in-game mod management New Computer: File dropdown list is as followsData...SaveExport (with additional dropdown list, same as above)Preferences...Validate Loaded DataCreate ArchiveUpload Active Plugin and Archive to SteamExitNew Computer Info: Running Windows 10, bought the computer 3-5 months ago, Skyrim modding through Vortex app mod management So I'm missing bits on the new computer and I need to know how to do what I used to do on my old computer (which is push the plugin to my game directly) on my new computer, which does not have this option. Did this make sense? Please let me know if I can clear anything up.
SJKatt1918
If there is no way to push plug-in directly to my PC rather than going through the Steam upload - how do I upload to Steam? Is there a link with a step by step process for this? Thanks again, I appreciate this forum so much.
