wifiman
Had an infiitate loading screen after installing the diamond mod for women. So, I didn't enable the mod but I still got the inifinite screen. I ended up using my save files, but I still had the screen. I wanted to try and see which mod was causing it now. My saved files didnt work so I had to end up tweaking my mods and disabling/enabling them. Eventually, it worked, but when I enabled my immersion mods, the game went back to the infinite screen...I have no idea which mod caused the crash either and it won't run now, unless I disable all of my mods. Does anyone have a fix? :( A program that could tell me or something maybe, because I would like to keep my files and not start over anew...playing with mods has become fun, I don't want to lose them either. Any help is appreciated, thank you
Naturlich68
You could try using BOSS, it can re-order your mods to the best load order to help reduce the problems with mods clashing, it's not 100% as it relies on mod information being uploaded to them, but it can be effective. The only other way I know of trying to solve this (and I've had to do this method myself) is disable all your mods, start Skyrim and load a save, if the save loads, enable the first 5 mods and try again, if the save loads enable the next 5 mods, try again, and so on until suddenly the save wont load, then go back and you know the problem mod is in that last group of 5, so disable one of them and start skyrim, if the load saves then the mod you just disabled is the problem, if it doesn't load, re-enable that mod, disable the next, and just work through until you hit the one thats giving you problems, then disable that one, and enable all your others. IF you do this and disable a mod and enable the rest, and the game refuses to load a save, then you know you have more than 1 mod problem! Link to BOSS: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6 Hope that helps m8 Nat PS another common problem is when a save file is bigger than 6mb in size, Skyrim doesn't seem to want to load them once they get that big, but it should still load an earlier save if smaller than 6mb. Sardonnicus
I've started having the exact same propblem. It started for me over the weekend. I can't get from Solstehim to Skyrim and vice versa. I can't even fast travel to Raven Rock from within Solsteim. I can fast travel to other areas around Solstehim, but that seems to be it. I've been using BOSS and TESedit to work on my mods and load order. Nothing seems to be helping. I checked the size of my save files... they are pretty large... over 6mb - but they have been that way for a long time and the game never froze up on me before. I had lots of stuff in my inventory, so I dumped 90% of it into a spare chest at the trading outpost location in Solstheim, and I am still getting the eternal loading screens. I am at the point where I can going to disable all my mods and start over with them. I'm going to lose everything inside my "Breezehome Remodeled." Can you disable a home mod, start the game, then enable it again and load a previous save and have all your stuff right where you left it? I am also toying with the idea of uninstalling Skyrim completely and then installing it again and the mods and then loading up my current save to see what happens. Everything was going fine until this past weekend. Not sure what happened exactly.
wifiman
Yup, I've tried re-enabling and disabling the mdos one at a time to see what caused it. Seemed to be the immersion mods...gonna fix it this weekend when I have time. Still sad that I won't be using any of those nice immersion mods like wet and cold or real shelter though...bummer :(
ironbender800
The infinite loading screen issue for me seems to be fixed by saving new game then deleting old ones. Dunno why but saves get messed up by installing and unintalling mods and simply making a new save always fixed my infinite loading screen problem. Also recently had issue with super long loading times and the fix to that is DO NOT USE FPS CAP!!!! i deleted all mods and completely reinstalled game hoping to fix problem when what it was is that i set a fps cap to eliminate tearing. memo662
well you have to save a stable save before you install any mod useing the command console that shall help to avoid such a bad problem.
Zekerbox
Sometimes I get the infinite load screen and if Load an older save and then reload the new and then make a fresh save. That seems to work for me. It helped me a lot with infinite load screens when I got rid of certain mods. Some of the mods that spawn a lot of NPC's or other AI make my game too unstable.
