thurijinn
I play FO4. Have 118 active mods. I've been playing without changing anything for a week and going fine until yesterday evening. Now it can take upwards of 10 minutes when I launch Vortex before I can actually launch the game. Everything is frozen on the program and there is a spinning circle by PLUGINS. I did see one error message about too many saved games so I deleted everything except this most current character. Still taking forever to reach a point I can launch the game. Seems to play fine once the program finishes loading. Thanks for any help/direction.
Pickysaurus
Can you make sure you're running v1.3.16 (released today) and see if it persists? If you don't see an update notice, you can download a fresh copy of Vortex and install over the existing one.
rmm200
Well I brought up Vortex just now, went to About to check version. It is 1.3.16.And Vortex is locked up tight. It won't leave the About page. No spinning icons or other signs of life. I can drag the Vortex window around, but nothing is clickable.Task manager shows Vortex (5) using 14.5% of the CPU.I am confident, when I kill it using task manager, it will restart OK. (Vortex close button is also hung)Confirmed - killing Vortex and restarting comes up normally.
Mland22
I have the same issue, nothing is clickable, but mine isn't fixing itself on restart. Tried downloading the latest file and still no luck.

Tried downloading the latest file and still no luck. Are you absolutely sure that it's the exact same issue? Right down the the spinner by the "Plugins" tab? I ask because people often make "me too" posts on issues without fully reading them.
Mland22
I get a spinning thing for a short while after that everything is just dead, can't click on anything or do anything with it. Worked fine yesterday, updated it and didn't try it untill I got home from work today and it didn't work. Downloaded the new version about an hour ago and installed that, now I don't get any indication that it is even thinking about doing anything. Start it get that yellow load line and it looks normal but can't click anything. I can move the window around but can't do anything with the program, have to close it down either from the task bar or the activity manater. rmm200
In Task Manager, if you don't see Vortex as a Task, make sure there are no Vortex entries in the background process section.I found a couple active there, and I could not restart Vortex until I terminated them. SkyHusky39
I have the same problem, too. In the task manager, it shows 5x Vortex with 1000mb to 12000mb Ram when I open it. I also have the newest version of Vortex. It freezes at the beginning for 2 to 3 min
Pickysaurus
There has been a few reports of a change in performance to the plugins tab. I've seen a small change too but I only have ~20 plugins right now. To those of you reporting the lag, how many plugins do you have installed? rmm200
For me it is 87 plugins (Load Order). 114 mods enabled; no ESLs.And I swear this is not a lag - it is a hang. Solved only by task manager termination. 14.5% cpu at the time.
