MX8864
Hey guys, I just noticed that at least my update.esm seems pretty dirty. I have got many red entries in Tes5edit.and I'm also havin a lot of CTD's while beeing in solstheim. Not even one crash in skyrim, only while playing dragonborn.Pic of the red entries related. Could this be a possible reason for the CTD's? Edited February 27, 2013 by MX8864

ripple
The colours indicate conflicting records with other plugins, not errors. But the 'error no strings' entries do indicate actually error records that should not be there (they are not in my update.esm). If these are the only error records, you can just drag the correct records over to replace the errors. If they are not the only error records in update.esm, then you should just delete the update.esm and revalidate the game cache files via Steam. I am curious about what could corrupt your update.esm through.... Edited February 28, 2013 by ripple

ripple
Basically, you click, hold and drag the record from Skyim.esm to replace all the 'error' records in Update.esm, until they all match (don't touch Dragonborn.esm). However, I don't recommend this. The original patch esm records may actually be different from the default game records. I *really* recommend you delete the update.esm and revalidate with Steam.
