Mod replication for 2 PC's

Hi All,

Can't seem to find an easy answer to this, perhaps there isn't one!?

Query is - I play all my games spread across 2 main PC's, when my main PC is being used by someone else in the house, I can play from cloud saves on my laptop.

What I'd like to try and find out is if there is any way of replicating my installed mods on one PC to another? I'm aware I can go through download history and get pretty close by manually tracking what's been downloaded, however this becomes a challenge when I get mod conflicts and go through troubleshooting by disabling the lot and working through individually, enabling one by one. In the case of FO4 where I have close to 200, what I'd like to be able to do is when logging in to play on my laptop, is just replicate what's been enabled on my main PC so I don't get errors or inconsistencies with the same save file I'm playing with (installers may have had slightly different configs etc).

Whenever using the same save file to play, I'm constantly getting messages stating that x.y.z. esp/esl etc isn't loaded, it would be good if there was some method which I'm missing that just straight up replicates the loaded mod list per game?

Many thanks!!

There isn't currently a good way to do what you're asking. If your mods are installed to the exact same paths on both PCs you could copy your staging folder + Vortex app data folder across, but you'd also have to remember to do this each time you play.

We're actually working on a system akin to Steam collections that may help with this kind of thing, but that's still a little way off.

Thanks for responding & the update.

Indeed, I didn't think there was a "quick & easy" win for this conundrum, I just wondered if I was missing something obvious.

It's cool, it's what us "PC master race" nerds love to do I guess, messing with files for 4hrs for 2hrs gameplay lol
