Your Top 5 "Must Have" Follower/Companion Mods.

1.Deadpool - My greatest follower yet....He's got two friggin' sword along with his armor set.The voice acting is pretty nice and I like how they put a lot of effort to make this Deadpool funny.

 

2.Dimitri - A great archer!!Really good combination between him and Deadpool.

 

3.Tauriel - ..........

 

4.Gandalf - If you're looking for a mage companion,this one is a must-have!!He even got a Disarm shout!!And he also has his staff and sword.

 

5.Valfar - If you're one of the Stormcloaks,the you'll love this guy.I didn't really used him because I'm an Imperial.

I tend to weigh followers less on appearance or story depth and more on chattiness; i.e. their capacity to comment on their surroundings. Babe squad followers are banal and dime-a-dozen while the Bioware style followers just draw too much attention to themselves, in my opinion, and the best balance is an NPC with an established backstory, characterization, and a capacity to comment on his or her surroundings and on you (this is what Bioware-style NPCs *used* to mean before Mass Effect and Dragon Age came along). Inigo has already been mentioned as a favorite and I definitely second that; Throthgar the Dragonborn Coward is also hilarious if sometimes inappropriate and 4th-wall breaking; just blame CHIM. One custom-voiced follower that I don't think gets enough props is Michael Rosen - he's chatty almost to a fault, so jam-packed with commentary you'll wish there was a command to silence him, but the sophistication of his commentary conditions, which range from reactions to shouting, the weather, items in your inventory, and much more is impressive. I have also installed Hoth, Valfar, and Thorald Greymane, though I've yet to recruit them in-game.

been awhile since i used other people's follower custom voiced mods, been busy working on my own. But i do remember the big guy you get in riverwood with the interesting npc's mod, he'd pretty clean house for me. Made the game easy aha.

Cerwiden - She's the Willow of skyrim. Enough said. Does everything you want and you can tell her to stop what you don't like. Only thing she is missing is marriage.

 

Viconia Devir - Sometimes raunchy, sometimes mean. I like her, she has enough content to keep chatty for an entire playthrough and then some! She could definitely use a quest but the voice acting is truly top notch.

 

Anundiel - Eh she works. One of her quests bugged out on me, but I wasn't dissapointed because her quests aren't really all that interesting. Having her able to buff you is very nice though. My only other gripe is her romance restrictions. Quite honestly I wish people would stop programming NPC's sexuality for four reasons.

 

1. It is just more code to write, making the creation more difficult for the author.

2. Since it is more code it is another failure point to cause a bug sometime somewhere.

3. It hides content from users and forces the author to create two sets of content sometimes.

4. Why do you care that I'm having the collection of bits you wrote marry another set of bits that looks female as well? It's a game grow up.

 

There are other companions I haven't gotten to using yet that I'm sure have great content like Vilja and Mrissi, but I just haven't gotten to them yet.

5. Arlana Domari because its awesome having your old character as a follower.

 

4. Faallokaar he is a dragon so of course he is on my list.

 

3. Sofia, she is funny, useful and you can get her drunk!

 

2. Master Chief, Why? because he is the Master Chief and i have lightsabers.Master Chief with a lightsaber is perhaps the most badass thing ever.

 

1. M'rissi because she is the best archer i have seen so far. she has a unqiue look, an extensive backstory, and gets stoned when you give her moon sugar.

lore friendly, interesting with quest, im looking for followers who chat to me or together(would be great) and have game interaction(like sit if i sit etc), im not looking for lifeless dolls following me.
