Dark0ne
This is indeed interesting news, and it will definately be interesting to see where Bethesda will be taking this cult classic. I've already purchased fallout-3.com for a future planned site of "Fallout Source". If people are interested I'm looking for dedicated staff to work on a fansite for FO3 similar to MWSource. Content writers, news posters, forum folk...the usual. PM or email me if interested.
Preacher
OMG!!!! This is the greatest news ever! I have several requests for the FO3 development team though: 1. Don't rush it and leave it full of bugs. We would much rather wait 6 months past the deadline for a perfect game than get an almost-perfect game that is riddled with bugs 6 months earlier. 2. Hire the entire development team from Fallout 2. All of them. Yes, even the teaboys and the backscratchers and lightbulb-changers. ALL OF THEM. Or at least get Chris Avellone and Feargus Urquhart onboard. 3. Get Tony Jay to do voice acting again (He did the voice of the Lieutenant in Fallout and the Transcendent one in Planescape Torment). He is proper evil! :halloween: He is the uber evil voice!!! 4. Don't even THINK about making it marketable to *spits* consoles. RPGs don't work on consoles, generally speaking, and the Fallout Licence is a goose that lays golden eggs. Don't flood the market with mindless generic shoot-em-ups with the Fallout tag dangling loosely from it. Fallout:Tactics somehow got away with it as it was still a respectable strategy game with mild RPG elements. But no. Consoles, never. 5. Don't do something totally new that is unrecognisable from the original. The screenshots on this thread seem like the perfect balance, but if you want to do your own thing, thats fine. But we love Fallout for what it is, and thats what we want, another Fallout RPG that can rival the magnificence of the last two. 6. Monty Python references! Easter eggs galore! They are What made the game so damn good!
