wardoggwyllgi
as a owner of lakeview manor and someone who completed the quest associated with it i wish there was something to do to pinewatch. any ideas?
wardoggwyllgi
givingit some thought myself i think it would be neat to be able to turn into aactual mine over time. after doing the thieves guild quest you could be talkedto by a courier who delivers a message. It will have the generic word of powerSchtick, which will lead back to pinewatch. after entering a orc bandit cheifnamed Hogrum Gro Ghasko says he sent his bandits to secure this place becauseit's a massive ebony waiting to be dug out. he learned it after a helgen survivortraveling along the road to falkreath told him olava had out of pity, read hisfortune and told him that if he traveled to a empty house west of helgen hewould find ebony beneath it's foundations.you then fight him and take off his body a note that says he has a friend fromhis days in the legion who had connections to the trading company. you then cango to solitude to the docks and speak to a man behind the counter near thewarehouse who tells you he never like orcs, they smell like pigs and don't lookmuch better (by the way this man looks like a who). He then offers to sell youupgrades to pine watch.Name Cost Effect* Beast menworkers 5000 Hires beast men, they cost the least but have a chance of turning hostile andto stop working They make you 500 gold a week.* ElvenWorkers 7500 Hires elves who act the same as beast men but won't go hostile unless you sidedwith the stormcloaks and haven't beat the civil war, they make you 750 gold aweek.* HumanWorkers 10000 Hires humans who rarely turn hostile and work more, they make you 1000 a weekbut have the same chance to strike as elves.* sack cloth sleepingbags 500 Made from cloth these sleeping bags don't cost much and decrease the chance forstrikes.* Imperial Surplus tents 2000 Old and worn tents, but better than sleeping in mines, they reduce hostilityand strikes and are required for elven workers.* Nordic bunkhouse 5000 Provides the greatest comfort possible for cheap and converts pinewatch into abedroom only building, requirement for Human workers.* Smallsettlement 20000 adds 6 small houses next to pinewatch, double amount of money made weekly.* Mercenary barracks 30000 Converts pinewatch into a building that spawns fighters, who like bandits haverandom leveled equipment and patrol the area around pinewatch, and the forestaround lakeview manor. AlduinWorldEater
There are actually two quests involving Pinewatch: "Silver Lining", a Thieves Guild quest, and "No Stone Unturned", the Stone of Barenziah quest that I just can't be arsed to undertake. wardoggwyllgi
i did silver lining, and the stone of barenziah thing is a easy fix. Just have one of the workers run up to you and give you a stone of barenziah if you didn't pick it up before you turned the place into a ebony mine.
