EmuXanadu
I really like this idea. Personally I think more Argonian stuff is a good thing. Great to see some meshes being worked on too but I'm just wondering if maybe a lot could be achieved with retexturing. The Blades Akavir armour retextured could work if maybe the sleeves where chopped off, the Forsworn stuff might also work if the fur was maybe changed to feathers and even leather armour changed to a light coloured snakeskin or a patchwork leather might look the part. Even those Forsworn deer helmets could probably be adapted to Jaguar or Eagle armours, was it the Inca's or Mayans who had those? Can't remember. Tzontlimixtli
I thought a lot about retexures, but there was always the feeling that it wasn't quite unique enough, and there is nothing in Skyrim that fit into the style I was imagining.
AfroGamerNinja
I have been meaning to ask: who has been using the Tropical Skyrim mod?

Another thing may be Darker wood on the shoulder-pads, as that would give a more unique feel. The chestplate, however, could be leather. It would look great with something like this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14913 But it shoudl be a lot brighter. The five wooden parts all have the exact same textures which is a bit immersion braking so I suggest you leave those with blank wood or make unique textures for all of them. I was also imagineng the helmet a bit of iron on it, as it would fit and make it a bit less dull. On the rest I think it looks great, however, you may add something to the belt so it doesn't look so "empty.". Good your for your limited time. Great job. I intend to make the leaves look like they've been lacquered with Hist sap, so they won't look fresh when I'm done, but not rotten either. As for metal elements (afterall, mining is extremely difficult in jungle and swamp environments), I'd rather avoid those, and to lesser extent leather. The armour this is based on is made from wooden slats, and that's the look I'd prefer it to have. I'll try to add seams and joints where I can to break up the monotony. But a tip is to make the mouth a bit more showing (if you can still change things) and make the tree look a lot more damaged and darker, so it doesn't look so perfect. Take your thieves guild shoulder pads on the side as an example.
Tzontlimixtli
Yeah, I kept thinking the mouth needs more exposure, and the shininess is really annoying me, but I've never been able to work around that for some reason. Progress may be quite slow at the moment, too, since I have a lot of work to do before Easter, and I have a portfolio to work on also.
Derok
What is the armor you used in the screenshot?Imo doesn't look very fitting for argonians. It should look darker (not just the color, the whole look), dirtier and more detailed. Edited March 16, 2013 by Derok
Tzontlimixtli
That's the Ritual Armor of Boethia.I know, the helmet rim sticks out too far, and it's too shiny and new. Like I said, I don't have much spare time I can work on it currently, so I doubt I'll have anything to upload for a while.
