Einvarr
Here is the problem .. I love the ebony broadsword model .. I'm designing a little hut for my character in seyda need, everything going good.I leaned my sword up against the wall .. and set the 3D scale to 2.00 , making it look quite huge .. and beautiful .. now when i walk in and pick it up and equip it, it shows up normal size, and even when i dropped it back on the ground it was regular size again .i was wondering what the chain of command is when i set that up .. likedoes it just apply it to the graphic on set up .. and then it's overridden by the normal graphic when used in tandem w/ character animation or what .. i tried checking and unchecking every combinatin of boxes for blocked or like, keep allthe same references persistant .. nothing works by setting the 3D scale is that going to allow me to just enlarge the size of the weapons without going deeper.. if not , is there a simple way to do it .. thank you in advance for your help -varr
Switch
Well changing the 3D scale of items only does it until the player picks it up. That for some reason instantly reverts it to normal size. As far as I know it's not possible to have it at any scale higher or lower than normal when equipped. You'd have to make a new, larger mesh and a new texture to go along with it. Einvarr
I had assumed so , before I ask i will read the forums as to how to unpack the files and such to edit them, curious though .. are the formats supported by GMAX ? - varr
Peregrine
No. To keep people from using gmax as a substitute for 3dsmax, its import/export function is crippled. You can only export to a few specific game formats, and .nif isn't one of them. You'll need to have someone with 3dsmax do the import/export for you.
