Alrighty. Also, I'm working on some more armor that's compatible with the current UBR make. I'm going to update it later when the new one comes out, however long it takes. Thus, I won't worry about the weight slider for now.

I found a cheap way to recover data from a broken hard disk, put it in the freezer! I'm not kidding alot of people managed to do that.

Of course, it's pretty dumb. But if can't afford hard drive recovery I will try this solution.

Seal it in a Ziploc bag first and try to squeeze the air out. Helps keep moisture out so you don't kill it instead of attempted resurrection. I've done it once, it does work. Just remember, prioritize your backups cause you don't have a lot of time, and whatever you do, don't shut down or restart until the backup is done. The freezer trick works, but it's a last-stand effort to get your data back, and is always followed with a replacement disk.

I have a new 1T drive, a freezer and a computer. But it doesn't sound a smart idea, a plastic bag is not enought to avoid condensation.

My game drive is on the verge of dying, too. That's one of the causes for why I'm not modding as much as I was used to in the past anymore today, even 'if' I happen to get some free time occasionally. I'm not going to plug it in again, until I got a replacement to backup my files to.

Though it's not likely to be broken they common way. All data stored on it is still 100% intact somehow. It's just taking half an hour to boot up each time I plug it in, always starting up a little more but not yet quite to run speed, then stopping and starting over, each time getting a little closer to run speed, and before it's finally up and running at full speed it won't even appear in the list of connected hardware. And each time I plug it in it feels like it's taking marginally longer to boot up than last time. It's a really weird thing, but I'm confident the data can be salvaged with ease, I just need a replacement storage first.

Regarding less than common means for hardware repairs though, I remember the good times a while after countless attempts at getting my good old Dell laptop repaired by Dell hardware labs and always only getting the same (or new) already-"broken" (so said the next hardware labs diagnosis report) hardware parts as replacements in return. It was an issue with the graphics card all the time right from the start, but in the end there was no single part of hardware that was 'not' replaced by Dell one time or more, and the laptop was still showing only grey lines all over the display soon after booting, shortly before dead-locking.

After I've given up hope to get any 'non-broken' replacement parts from Dell in return, I stopped throwing my money out of the window and, just for the lulz, tried some rather 'unbelievable' solutions... with actually 'positive' results, although sadly only temporary.

I put the broken graphics card into the oven at 250°C for half an hour, 'baking' it through and through. And believe it or not, while I expected it to be totally toast after this, it actually was running stable for thelongest period ever since I first contacted Dell support. Sadly it was no permanent solution and the issues including the dead-locks just returned after a while... but in repeated attempts I found out the issues actually stayed away all the longer, the longer I 'baked' the graphics card. 1 hour in the oven presented me with at least 5 hours of stable running. Sadly that was no real 'solution' at all, and I especially don't intend to keep putting it into the oven again and again every 5 hours or so!

But the hilarity of it all combined with the fact it actually 'worked' made for a good amount of days of giggles now and again thinking back to it. And it still makes me chuckle writing of it here now. ;D

It looks I'm not the only one who is struggling with hardware, too bad that I'm using laptop. Maybe I'll have to enter the kitchen too, since my GPU is from defective series and after three repair sessions it seems that they were just baking it for my 40€.

Heh, we're all having hardware issues. My computer's being faulty for reasons unknown to me. And my sucky graphics card's finally dying. Luckily, my Birthday (Hatchday, as I say) is coming up soon. New graphics card and upgraded RAM, then, hopefully.

I just saw this this morning and was blown away! I have been looking for a mod like this ever since I got the game. So I just downloaded this Mod (Alpha?) and I was wondering if any of the armor mods you guys have been making are available. They look good and I really want to use them. I wish you guys the best of luck!
