luthienanarion
I think everyone starts their scripts with 000 by instinct. They most likely do it because it would always show up first in the list if it began with 000. I done it my first time :PHmm. I've always used "lut" as a prefix, and you can order the object window by FormID so that all of your stuff is at the top anyway.
Slikpik
I know what you mean. Now, I always use SLIK as my prefix. My only worry is that it leads to two of my mods conflicting someday...

I knew it was something simple. It's mind-blowing how many people do this when they go to write their first scripts. Is there some bad guide out there that everyone is reading?I think it's because so many different forms in the Geck do have vanilla items that start with a numeric character (including scripts, cell names, NPCs, etc). It's unclear that there would be a problem with doing it oneself. And there is no clear statement anywhere telling new modders that they shouldn't be doing it, at least not that I've ever seen. I know it's an issue from reading it over and over again in different forums I read.QuoteHmm. I've always used "lut" as a prefix, and you can order the object window by FormID so that all of your stuff is at the top anyway.I do this too. I use a version of the mod name or of my user name.
