Reaper78TRJ
I've been running around the internet for a while now looking for ways to fix this, each way a person has fixed this is either a complete riddle or just "edit: Fixed!" When launching from mo2 (sorry if this is the wrong place to post this i'm on my last legs here) Skyrim special edition with skse and a mod that depends on the Address library for skse mod, for instance the SSE Engine fixes mod or Extended Reanimation mod, I get an error for "rel/relocation.h(617) failed to open file" with a window title usually for EngineFixes.dll or something along those lines. i have disabled all my mods apart from USSEP and SkyUI. These mods without SSE Engines fixes work and launch the game. I have tried the all in one version of address library, the only one version file 1.5.97.0 and tried both installing through mo2 and into my base skyrim folder. No matter what it says it can't find the file needed. I have recently moved my skyrim install outside of my programs files folder and this is located on a different drive than my windows. i have installed the c++ microsoft redistributable thing for sse engines and rebooted my pc. I see no reason why this isn't working and yet it doesn't. I don't know what other information i need to provide to find a solution but please help me. I have also posted a request onto the skyrimmods subreddit here EDIT WORKING NOW: it seems that after i moved my install location for the base game, when i updated the binary location for skse, i didn't update the other file location link. meaning it was looking in the complete wrong location for other files it needed. changing this to the new sse file location even fixed my racemenu ctd issue on launch. if anyone has this issue, please check your install locations are correct for every single program you use in mo2. MonstaFluff
I have a fresh installation of Skyrim and have never modded this game or any game before and can't understand your solution, how did you get it to work again after your error 617. I have this error as well and have found no solution for it. thx.Give us a little more info than that and we can help: I just did as he mentioned and it fixed my problem too. I assume if you have no modding experience then the issue of probably moving your installation to another location without updating binaries is a no go. In that case it's most likely you don't have one of the dependancies installed, or in the right way. Make sure you have both of these:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230?tab=files https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32444?tab=files Read the description carefully on both, but mainly take a look at the download section of the first link. There are 2 downloads but both are mandatory, the second requires a mandatory installation. Take the 3 files in there and drag and drop them into the file that contains your SkyrimeSE.exe (Main installation folder, nowhere else.) Hope this helped with limited info :)
