IsharaMeradin
SSE updating and waiting for SKSE64 to update is the only thing that I've ever had to deal with. Maybe I was late to the party as it were to have missed all that other stuff. Or maybe I don't do the same sorts of things to notice stuff like that. *shrug* I don't get the z-fighting on the mountains any more. That to me is the biggest plus. I still get terrain textures that don't swap from LOD to close up and some other things. But those go away when saved and reloaded. My system while the best that I was able to afford, technically does not meet the SSE requirements even tho they exceed original Skyrim specs. My graphics card fails the minimum and my CPU the recommended. Yet the game plays just as well if not better than original Skyrim. Any issues I run across are either self made (i.e. I screwed something up) or a controller button is stuck. I'm sure the CC stuff might be problematic to some extent. But if you don't use any, you won't have those issues. ESL files do change how one thinks about the load order. But that can be a good thing as they do allow one to exceed the 254 plugin file limit. A body and face mod is a must tho as they did screw something up as the neck seam gets quite noticeable under different lighting conditions. At least, I couldn't bring myself to play SSE until others figured out how to make seamless bodies and faces. End of the day, your choice. Just thought I'd share some of my experiences and thoughts regarding SSE.
Shadeybladey
End of the day, your choice. Just thought I'd share some of my experiences and thoughts regarding SSE. Yes, cheers! Thanks for that, much appreciated! :) I got this PC for my birthday in early 2012, just so I could play Skyrim. The one before that I had had for more than10 years; I forget if it was a 233MMX or a P-III, but it had Win XP and then Win 98, or vice versa, I forget now! I think I have had four. My first was a DX/2 66 MHz with an enormous 4 MB of RAM (aye, Mega-bytes!) and a wrecklessly huge 420 MB hard drive, in about 1995 or so! Maybe a little earlier. I played a few SSI games like Eye of the Beholder on 3.5" floppies and then got Pagan Ultima VIII and then the Daggerfall CD, which almost filled the drive! Ah, the days when games came on disks and didn't need massive downloads and on-line licence verification! But this new one was almost state of the art back then and works well for everything I need. I sort of have a policy that when I come across a game that my PC won't play, it's time for e new one. Almost nine years so far. My Radeon burned out so I had to get an Nvidia, but that's all, apart from some keyboards and mouses. Interesting that although you are below recommended/minimum specs, you feel the SSE game runs better than the orginal. Cheers! :D
