AndrreiM
Hi, im planing buying the game from steam but i saw Ill get the RU version. My question is: Do all mods work with this version? I heard that some critical modding files are in a different format like (.nam) instead of (.bsa) like normal version. I wanted to mod it on all aspects and i dont know if it will work on this version.
Rabbit1251
You could consider buying the game from GOG (https://www.gog.com/game/fallout_new_vegas_ultimate_edition). It is in English, DRM free, and currently on sale for $9.99. Mods will work on it. The Rabbit
DoctorKaizeld
Well that may be different based on localization

AndrreiM
So, indeed there are diferences in game files? I heard different opinions, some say they are the same, others that are different file structures... Edited January 5, 2021 by AndrreiM
dubiousintent
To expand a bit on the topic of "localization" (which refers to translating game dialog and messages to a different language). Most mod authors only support their native language, the majority of which (on Nexus at least) are in English. Some few mods have been translated/localized to other languages. The German (Deutschland) "no gore" version of the game has some difference in it's coding, functions, and addresses where the code is located, so most mod authors do not support that particular version. (Don't know if there are any other "different code" local language versions.) You should check with the vendor (Steam or GOG or whomever) is the version you are getting has differences in the actual game code. -Dubious-
