Gormania
Whenever I take a screenshot and try to look at the bmp it says it is either "corrupt or damaged". I had bAllowScreenshots (or whatever it is) set to 1 in the fallout.ini file. Any ideas?
Skree000
what prog are you trying to use to open the pics? does your windows explorer generate thumbnails for the pics when you switch your browser to 'thumbnail view'?
deliverance6
screenshots should be enabled by default (or they were for me anyway).try opening you're screenies with photoshop since you're windows may be lacking or have a broken .dll plugin to open /BMP files for preview
Gormania
screenshots should be enabled by default (or they were for me anyway).try opening you're screenies with photoshop since you're windows may be lacking or have a broken .dll plugin to open /BMP files for preview When I try to open them in photoshop everything is slanting about 40 degrees to the left and all the colours are *banned* up! I have the standard HUD colour and it looks dark blue. I took a screenshot of Oasis and all the trees are a lot darker and look like they are falling over. Any ideas? Gormania
Also, when I opened the bmp with photoshop and saved it as a png (which I can open) the colours get messed up on yet another level! I have the green HUD, which turned dark blue when I opened the bmp in photoshop, and is now gray in the png! In fact, the entire png is in black and white. What the hell is going on! deliverance6
honestly i dont know why you're system is doing that. try a fresh install of Fallout3 incase it's a broken .dll other than that, try it on a fresh install of windows (or just put you're windows disk in, and install a new copy over the top of you're current but make sure you check "keep file structure intact" so all settings etc are kept but its anew set of system files... other thn that im at a loss for ideas
datawing
Just came in to say that I am having EXACTLY the same problem. I'll let you know if I find a solution. I'm on an ASUS U43F with a steam version.
MichikoUnknownFox
It probably has something to do with HDR. Bethesda's games don't play well with taking screenshots while HDR is enabled. Instead of using the built-in screenshot key, I use Steam's screenshot manager. Works perfectly. :)
