EDIT - ok ok im bored so here goes, obviously you just somehow wandered past ghostgate, easily fought off a bunch of ascended sleepers, somehow levitated into the crater and up do Dagoth Ur's front door minutes after hearing from a random citizen tell of his bad deeds and reveal his location to you. because if you had been following the main quest you would know exactly what to do. if you have Wraithguard from Vivec you need to find two Ash Vampires on the mountain and get Sunder and Keening from them. then in case you werent listening to Vivec you have to use them to kill the Heart of Lorkan (spl, i know). but apparently you have no idea about the prerequisits of this quest and therefore you havent been following the main quest, or the whole story for that part, at all. if you are just an adventurer that happened to come across Ur, then dont bother getting Sunder or Keening because without the Wraithguard gauntlet that Vivic gives you the power will kill you. and dont think you can just walk up to the God-Man and kill him for it. you will die in 0.2 seconds. pretty much the only way to kill Dagoth Ur is to follow the main quest completely. which i dont believe you have done because you know nothing of what you speak. Lucifer117b Posted August 5, 2004 Share Posted August 5, 2004 Go through all of the quests set by Caius Cossades(sp), then do everything the ashlanders tell you to, then do whatever the dissident priests want, etc. One quest will lead to another, as the game progresses you will learn of the three weapons needed to fight Dagoth Ur. oh, and don't forget, join a house! Telvanni if you want to be magically orientated, Haalu if you want to be financially orientated, and Redoran if you want to be a fighter (Cue in eye of the tiger :P ) You must progress, you can't just rush in and kill things. eviljim Posted August 13, 2004 Share Posted August 13, 2004 technically you don't need wraithguard if you have good reflexes and high health. equip keening/sunderer and strike the heart then quickly unequip and go heal. repeat process until it dies. i did this and fudged the story up, heh... had to restart my game :P EDIT: oh... and it helps if you knock dagoth ur into the lava first... then he can't screw with you while you whittle away at the heart. Adras Posted August 18, 2004 Share Posted August 18, 2004 When my dad was killing Dagoth Ur, he had the Shadow Drow mod on, and it has soime pretty powerful arrows. They would kill ANYONE in one hit. But about 1 sencond after he hit Ur with the arrow, his health was almost fully regenerated. So he got pissed of and shot a lot at him at once and ended up killing him.
