The Voice Actors of Skyrim (Nexus)

Hotemochick1992

Recommended Posts

I've noticed a lack of voiced male follower mods on the nexus, and I've decided to try devoting my voice to modders here. However, I've never done any voice acting before. Anyone have tips on how to get a start? Any scripts to give a good range of my voice?

EDIT: Included a link to a very brief voice sample just to show more or less the type of voice I have. Please be gentle. haha.

EDIT: Properly formatted the post.

Playable Races:
Any male race, when it comes down to it, but I can't fake a british sounding accent worth s***, though I can do a halfway decent irish or scottish sounding accent.

Experience:

None.

Skills:
Can record audio, can sing halfway decently(better than many of the vanilla bards IMO), also can edit audio, and I can do some odd voices and accents as well. chances are if you're willing to mess around with samples some, I can accomodate you.

About Me:

I've been often told that I should be on the radio. I'm not sure if I neccessarily believe it myself, but there it is. My voice has something of a baritone to it, and I've actually been wanting to find a way into voice acting for some time now but haven't really been sure where to start.

Voice Samples:

A quick and quiet introduction

"A Garden" By H.P. Lovecraft.

Again, I haven't bothered to edit either of these as I was simply recording straight to vocaroo, but I do hope that it gives people an idea of my voice.

Update: I've decided to get a soundcloud: you can find it here. I've only put up a simple raw recording.

Playable Races:
Most races, except Khajit. Just can't get that one

Experience:

Tons. I voiced Hoth:

I voice Capt Scull (The quest giver) in New Vegas Bounties II and soon NVB III

There are a few other mods coming out that I am a VA in, both of which are not up yet. I have done several Machinema (non lip dub ) projects as well.

Skills:
Can deliver professional, crisp, clean VA files. I can also work creatively with mod creators.

About Me:

I'm just a guy who likes to VA in the right projects. I can be very selective about what mods I choose to VA in, so I say no more than I say yes. That said, if you have a clear vision and the ability to deliver the mod you envision, I'm always looking for something new and interesting.

Voice Samples:

If you play Skyrim or Fallout New Vegas then odds are you know my work and have likely used the mods I VA in. Hoth is pretty well known with Skyrim and New Vegas Bounties is one of the most popular FNV DLC level Mods.

Playable Races:
Listen to my vocal sample. If you hear the potential for something, request it. I'll do my best to

research the race in question and provide an accurate representation of my abilities in

performing as said race.

Experience:

None regarding Skyrim, but I am willing and able to broaden my repertoire.

Skills:
I know plenty when it comes to music and audio engineering. I have done a good amount of acting and screenplay writing,

but voice acting is definitely a new undertaking; although, it has been something I've wanted to do for a long time.

About Me:

My name is Lance Larson, I enjoy long walks on the beach and talking to myself in my free time. I'd very much like to provide my

voice to those who desire it.

Looking for Voice Actor!

Gender: Female

Style: I'm thinking of a Karliah...with a bit stronger tone than the dreamy one in the game and somewhat more seductive. If not, just any type of seductive voice along the Imperial or High Elf race

Please PM me if you are interested!

Just another post here about Discworld

Alpha testing finalized

Waiting on voice assets to release

5 hours of content doing a SPEED run with god mode and a one shot weapon and no exlporation/looting

Adding in 3 more quests probably before it is released, 2 at the minimum as they are almost done with voice assets

Still need roles filled down below!

http://voiceacting.proboards.com/thread/26807/skyrim-discworld-update-casts-etc?page=1

A lot of them are fairly minor roles but hit me up if you are new or a veteran, I have already written characters for people and we even have multiple VA's that I have turned to my will and they are/have written quests for themselves!

Videos of content etc, though I am keeping most of it secret till release :P

Active Member: I've been a member of the nexus for about 3 years.

Playable Races:

Anything you think my voice would be best suited for. (Most likely Nord)

Experience:

I've acted on stage for my school in about 5 productions, and have been told by my peers that I have a very workable voice.

I voice acted for a web series I was animating, but was never put out.

Skills:

Acting, Singing, Guitar, Tuba, Gaming.

Voice Samples: Disclaimer, I would like to apologize for the background noise. My little brother wanted to keep the air conditioner on whilst I recorded. In future instances, the AC will be turned off for sake of audio quality.

Playable Races:

Nord and imperial.

Experience: I have yet to voice act in mods but I have voiced in many Halo machinimas.

Skills: Have many different voices at my disposal and Blue Yeti which is a great mic. Plus, I have a recording studio that my dad used when he was in a band. Lots of Professional equipment.

About me: I started voicing for Machinimas 2 years ago and now I want to try out voicing in the modding community (Which IMO, is much easier). I'm friends with a lot of different voice actors as well so if you need more, I can help out. I have a deep voice for my age and it works out great for voice acting. I am quite good at audio editing so I can always make my voice sound different if wanted and still keep it realistically intact. That's all I can think of so if your interested, shoot me an email at

To get started, you'll want a mic (microphone) at the very least. That'll help reduce or eliminate the pops and static you hear in your recordings. A lot of people say not to use a headset mic, but there is one headset that I've found to have a great mic. Sennheiser in general has some great headsets with quality mics. Or, you can buy some mics on amazon.com. You can find some here, here and here.

You might want a pop filter as well. Keep in mind that something doesn't need to be expensive to be good quality. Look at the reviews, and listen to some videos/comparisons about the products before buying.

Lastly, you should record on a program such as Audacity, which is an entirely free, high-quality recording software.

Your voice does sound pretty good, by the way.
