Vortex UNInstall does not clean up file directories ?.

I am putting this here, because once you uninstall Vortex the Feedback button is no longer available.

The Uninstall for Vortex left behind a folder VORTEX in C:\Program Files (x86). Had to manually delete the folder.

I'm confused, did you expect Vortex to delete the folder after you've already uninstalled it?

 

By default, when removing mods Vortex does not remove empty folders for performance. (And because empty folders are completely safe).

 

If you're like me and hate empty folders hanging around you force the folders to be cleaned up in Settings -> Workarounds -> Clean up empty directories

I read this report as that the user used Windows to uninstall the Vortex application.

What he reported is actually a valid bug if true.

It can also be caused by incorrectly defining Vortex mods or downloads below the application directory. Windows would not delete those.

Too late to tell for sure, but the OP could have looked in the Vortex program folder to see what was left. Recycle bin maybe?
