Pellape
MOO? Well it is a newer nice Overhaul that I use. Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul The biggest benefit with it is that it doesn't touch the cells much, nor anything, well not at all as everything is scripted. BlueSteelRanger
Hmmm. Yeah, I know where that gate is. I want to put the entrance to my house just south of there right where the rivers join up. I want to do a kind of "open stairway to a small palace hanging in the sky" kind of dealio. I'll see about that overhaul. Does it conflict with OBSE or does it actually depend on OBSE? I'm also looking at some retextures done by Ceano. They have a mod that "cleans up" Ayleid ruins so they don't look so....well. Ruined. I figure that'd be a nice resource pack for my house.
Pellape
Sounds like very good ideas. I did build an Ayleid painting Museum 2007 and did build a giant stair on a mountain sloop... MOO requires OBSE and Maskar also recommend xOBSE, the new one, that is under development after being asleep for 7 years. It works perfect together with WAC as well
BlueSteelRanger
Hmmm. On the house I'm doing: I finished a preliminary alpha testing stage tonight and all went well. Even my door markers worked perfectly. I'll be testing the Oblivion Gate spawning function tomorrow to ensure things don't crash, freeze or otherwise go "OH CR@P!" The place for now is "codenamed" Iolani Palace. It's nowhere near ready for release yet (I still have to expand the bloody thing. It's a single room right now). I'm looking at it and it seems to require "OMOD" which I am....wary about using on this 4+ year old machine of mine. Can it work without OMOD? Pellape
My computers are older than that and I use both OBMM for omods and Wrye Bash for everything else when I install stuff. OBMM have worked perfect for 14 years, so you shouldn't worry really... Why OMOD? Well you have to answer some questions to adept it to your liking as it is a bit custom able and many mods are installed in a similar way. I bet it would be very hard to do a manual install of it. The biggest benefit is when or if you wanna uninstall a omod, then it only requires a single click and it is gone. BlueSteelRanger
Hmm. I'll give it a try after Iolani is fully finished, I think.
Pellape
Do that in case it will not take years to finish, like my home, with all ideas and plans I have... ;)
BlueSteelRanger
It shouldn't. I already have two of the rooms done. I just need to adjust the outside structure to hang in the air as planned, rename the entrance door (It's still marked as "Shardrock" right now) and balance the lighting/clutter so there's no lag, freeze or frame rate drop. And of course, add the appropriate alchemy, encnanting and spellmaking bits. Well that and Oblivion Gate testing. I'll have some in-game books done to have a story attached.
