macmert
This might be a pretty lame suggestion but... How about turning off the PC and read a book, or go out and enjoy the winter (or summer in case you are a resident of the southern hemi sphere) :D or spend some time with your friends, your girl/man, no offense since I dont know if you re male or a female :) Blasphemy I say! Then I say I will be more wood to the fire in hell!!! :D lol anyway in fact the best way for a beginner is to download and install omod... it is oblivion mod manager, so you can download omod mods and install them with only two clicks of the mouse... Try that out...

Otterian
Even though Oblivion is still my #1 favorite game, I'm bored with it. I've done all the quests (except for a few obscure ones, like training quests or that wine one). In fact, I don't even like the armors anymore. Both new mods and killing people give my a few moments of excitement, but I "crash" right afterwords. I don't usually use a mod for more than a week, unless its mine. Now I make tons of my own mods out of an impulse (also the reason for other mods) and once I gear up with whatever I made, I think "what now?" and get bored and turn it off. I've explored all of the lands, all that's left are dungeons, but I hate dungeons and darkness and undead. I can't wait until spring.

OnyxNightBlack
Well, I can certainly see where you are coming from. When I first got the game, I got bored pretty fast. Explored everything worthwhile (meaning I avoided crab filled caves like the plague), finished the main story line, joined all guilds to max rank, trashed the arena and then... well, nothing left. So I uninstalled the game and forgot about it until I stumbled over something precious: Mods, so many mods, so much new stuff to enjoy and to explore. So many things to try. So many good laughs to get from less serious mods. To cut my rant short, I can only agree with all the other posters in this thread. Being bored and saying that you didn't try any mods, does not compute.
frankc
Get your infamy up, don't wuss out and do the pilgrimage and then kill every guard that calls you trash. Guaranteed to spice up your gameplay. Frenzy and command humanoid are not only a source of entertainment, but a source of ready cash - just make sure you have feather and fortify strength spells and gear to help cart all the loot to a nearby pawnshop. While you are doing your quests compile a revenge list. Once the quest is done that essential flag (little crown icon) will often go away. Make sure and go back and let that smart-ass bosmer know exactly how you feel about his nasal toned insults. Make sure your illusion skill is at least 50 or you can't do any of the really fun stuff. Invisibility and a thieves guild membership means never ever having to say you are sorry. And for gods sake go GET SOME MODS!
Germandeathkittiez
Get OOO. I just used it on my new Character it's friggen insane I was in Vilverin for hours fighting ghosts so strong they killed all my Saiden Storm Dragons. If you want it here's a link just save file when the box comes up. http://postdownload.filefront.com/9705866/...bb65961a11475d9 But be warned I say don't ever start downloading mods until you have Oblivion Mod Manager and know how to use it cuz it took me a million reinstalls before I knew how to use it.
