Ulysses2074
I liked the game engine used for skyrim but I felt like it wasn't good enough. My complaints are that if you wanted it to look great you had to download mods from nexus or the workshop which is fine I have like thirty mods going right now, but I want to play a game where downloading a texture mod is really needed, and that a view distance is actually good. I hate running through a forrest and then looking down into the valley just to see nothin rendered or processed, the Noise and LOD need to be update in my opinion and the meshs need to be better, not flat but actually 3-D. plus real lighting and dynamic lighting would be great, I love how I can walk in a room and see everything when theres only a lit candel in the back of the room. In my opinion they need to drop the creation engine and Havok physics and place in Unreal 4 with some Euphoria physics. I would also love to see a more real-time game display setting so like if you change the quality of anything you can see it, plus gives us more options to change, us with powerful PC's can handel it easily. Does anyone agree? Edited March 30, 2013 by Ulysses2074

gsmanners
I would prefer if the game were stable, myself. Better doesn't really interest me.
jet4571
Thats not a problem with the engine Skyrim uses but how bethesda utilizes the engine. The engine itself has a pretty robust system for dealing with the environment and they barely scratched the surface on using the water flow system and just gave the worlds water the same flow rate and direction except for some rivers when it is simple to change it. They didnt even optimize Havoc, In Bethesda games with havoc you run into something on the floor like a basket and it goes flying about the room launching other items it hits. but in other games with Havoc the same item might just fall over or move a couple feet. Is what Bethesda needs to do is have a few more employees dedicated to tweaking things like the LOD, water, lights, and other environment items.
