Pellape
I do think it is important to have proper music while modding :D Well you can listen to whatever and have complete silence too... But I must have music to be able to focus 133, 4% My personal favorite when it comes to game music is ...otherwise the Wow music sux really but that one is magic Maria Franz from Euzen and now later in Heilung is singing in her own league All different compilations of Jeremy Souls well made music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QylSEgv9Ak&t Edited January 29, 2021 by Pellape
thumbincubation
This might sound dumb, but sometimes if I put on music, I'll listen to the game's soundtrack. Different bits of music bring back different memories of characters past, and can sometimes spark new ideas in the mod.
Pellape
No it is not dumb at all. It is perfect really. We sure need new ideas, no matter where they come from. Right now I enjoy an oldie from 1972, It was Peter Gabriel that sang it then but this singer do it as well as he did I think. It is the original Guitarist Steve Hacket that revisit the oldies... The same one but with Peter Gabrielhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx6S32thDNw
Pellape
If we do a Vice Verse, This is not good Modding Music as I cannot focus when I listen to this. Neil Peart died in Brain Tumor a couple of years back... Such a waste... Ooops, just followed up by this: Do he have tics?? Pellape
Using the soundtracks do make me sleepy and they do not work for me any longer but this one works better right now: Edited February 8, 2021 by Pellape

Pellape
This will sum up the state of my chaotic mind right now. When I am debugging and testing my own crap...
Loki2551
I don't create mods, but whenever I'm installing mods (or doing anything even remotely technical on my PC) I like to listen to the Hacknet and Hacknet Labyrinths soundtracks. Keeps me focused when I'm trying to resolve mod conflicts and other debugging stuff. Here's a great (and extended) track from the final mission in Labyrinths that I put on loop fairly often when I do that kind of stuff:
Pellape
That's cool. I listen to it right now but I did drink to much coffee so it does not help me to focus at the moment but I will listen to it again if I am on my way to do the vice verse, falling a sleep. :D It sure provides energy and happy feeling. It is much better than normal techno is. It do remind me some of the War of Worlds made in the 70's, based on the over hundred years old novell written by H G Wells Edited February 12, 2021 by Pellape
Pellape
One of the more bright bands, that did stuff their own way was Sparks. I remember seeing this on TV 1974 and I did not knew what to think, but I remember I liked it and they are still touring and makes so brilliant and fun stuff 43 years later: So brilliant. What Sparks did was to inspire the 80's music, like Petshop Boys and similar bands, but they where 10 years before the others and their own time. Not my favorite music but I do like Sparks a lot and listen to them in periods like I will today. Not many can sing like he does, many have tried but only schooled singers can do it.
