Nice Drum show off from 1976

Was she not an actress as well? I do recognize her from some films or series I guess. This is her right?

Okay a new page? If you did miss the previous post I made yesterday, do click this link or go back to page 2. It has some forgotten stuff, that you cannot miss to listen to today honestly.

When we talk about drums, I just recall I did like this song a lot and still do. My sister bought the record in the end of the 70's and she hated it and it took me long time to get used to it but I did really. The drumming section in the middle is among the best I have heard and it did took we a lot of time this afternoon to find this link but I managed to do it :D

They are so nuts. Zappa - RIP - Damn...

I do think Zappa can chock anyone that listen to his music for the first time or listen his to interviews where he speaks his mind, without regret. Give the tune a couple of tries and we see where it leads you.

That record, Zappa, Joe's Garage, did give me the creeps around 1979 as many tunes felt so damn weird and did stress me some. I made a quick listening at all the tunes from that record after I found the link and I love it, and it did relax me some to listen to it again after all this time. It does not feel weird now at all, as far as I know. So this song with the drum solo, did not really stress me at all as i did fell in love with it after I listened to it 10-20 times in a row for a couple of days. I might try it but I never played it on any instrument before so I might record my first try and we see where we end up with, noices and missplaying or maybe I do play it right - Who knows?? Who will care anyway as I will not for sure.

I went to my flat today, did pick up that old cheap guitar and I tested it some and it did not sound good, which I suspected. Well after 5 min, it did sound a little bit better. The photo is taken at my GF's flat and the guitar is very dusty and the top E-string is loose. You might also see that the strings is a bit lowered and that I glued the new thinner ebony white stuff at the string base, to the left at the photo (now also at the right top side after editing) as the glue did float out a bit and I think I used epoxy as well. The base photo is a bit blurred. Well the guitar was cheap and bought around 1975 for €25 after all. What ye expect? I am not allowed to play it as the clock is late evening here so I clean it gently with water on the body and neck end, but I have to be very careful with the neck, so it does not bend when the strings are attached.

I do smell the old dust now from it and it is not even in the kitchen but I am. Pekka - Damn you - Clean that old wreck now. *Pekka runs away to the bathroom with the guitar in his hand* (Old Ultima Online power emotions style by the way)

Edit: I did fill the guitar body container with green soap water, showered the lacquered parts, some drops did end up at the pressboard at the neck, but I dried it off with a towel.

If you recall I think I did mention what my guitar teacher told me 1981, that if I do not stop chewing at my nails and make them grow on the right hand, he would refuse to give me more lessons as I was told to not come back at all, so he gave be a bit of fine sandpaper and told me to start using it. I did the nails this evening, cut all at the left hand, except the thumb and the right hand, except the little finger so now I will listen to some Zappa and hone them with a Sandpaper stick and a sandstone honer. :D It could feel a bit embarrising when the kids asked me why the nails where so long when I worked with computer support. Well it is my plectrums and I use them for playing. -Aha, all mostly replied... So my nails sticks out 1mm now at 4 fingers at the right hand and that should be enough for now. If they get around 3mm or longer, it will get impossible to use them as then it will sound very sloppy or like heavy rain drops on a plate roof during a heavy storm or tornado. A hail storm even.

No string attached? Well the strings do differ from the standard ones as they are mid (medium) size and they are Different Strings

I did link to Freddie and Nina Persson earlier, the lovely singer in the Cardigans. Here we see her perform with The Gothenburg Symphonic Orchestra, my home town if you did not know but it is in my profile though but I am written in Kungälv...

Web Camera DC-2120 problems:

I might add this question at the technical Support forum really... :/ I need to rename a bloody x.dll to something to be able to install it.

I got myself a surprise as I claimed I was gonna train 10 min max at my first training session with that old guitar but I did 1 hour and have no ache in the left hand at all but my soft baby skin like fingetips or tops, ache as hell and are extremely sour or sore. It will take time to get back the plaster like skin at those tops again but I did not loose any skin, nor it does not bleed, just ache. After 30 min training, It did sound as good as I ever could make it sound. I might do a test recording soon that I plan to upload, testing how it will feel to play in front of a camera and get the levels and volumes right. The first recording I plan to do is Starship Troopers with Yes as it is very simple to play, so I might be able to get it right I guess.

It did took me some time to understand it when I heard it for the first time around 1985 at this specific recording that was also sent on Swedish Television 1986 I think it was and I managed to get it on VCR as well. I have seen that bloody video so many times that it lost the magnetic fields I guess. They do speed it up some here and the fills Chris Square is doing is always slightly different. I know the studio version best now but I will use a newer live recording when I do add my guitar to it. Okay, lets go back in time to 1984 or is it 1948

This joker also sing in his fake and fals dance band, called Rolandz Orchester, who mostly peforme at supermarket parking areas for free, when no one is there but here he talks to the Nordic politicians about nordic relations, sweedish rutten fish, and other nasty stuff. In the beginning, we do see and notice many politicians do not know what to expect and not how to react as he starts veru low and slow, which also is a part of Robert Gustavsson as he has no moral and has no regrets at all, except that he is known to be a Hypochondriac in RL. Well enough bulling of this performaer now; Robert Gustavsson - Ambasadören (Ambassador)

Language English

Here he is Roland and will sing a tune at 4:13 so the languages spoken is Sweedish - Robert Gustavsson as Roland

Roland explains they cant afford to play anywhere as they only perform at Parkingplaces at supermarkets, late at night, when everyone have gone home or elsewhere and that they had to walk between south sweden, between skåne and stockholm and the thin drummer had to carry his own drums and had to go twice. They mostly sleep in those tiny houses outside the supermarkets where you retrieve and leave your shopping chart. Can life for a famous band like Rolandz become harder, even if we include Biafra in that debate? Damn when we where kids, we did nasty jokes about Biafra and if we repeat them today, we will be punished hard. I do not dare to even think what we used to say about Biafra, but nastier stuff then the Nazis ever said about their jews 80 years ago... Damn... :geek: How can kids be so cruel?

Biafra ended to exist 1970. Seeing this again, makes me suffer a lot. So be warned - This next video inside this spoiler shows the nastiest of the nastiest pictures you ever have seen, maybe more nasty then we saw from the Vietnam war at the same period. I did not react as much about that war as I did when I saw those children in Biafra when I was a kid - I sure had feelings, even then.

I cannot watch it. I felt sick immediate - Damn the Biafra government   I need a break now...

Why has so many forgotten the word Biafra? Well does the kids today remember The Sweet? Bifra is as unknown as Gårda Rike or Särkland and google those 2 and see your self. I do bet you didn't knew those 2 old viiking names for famous countries today.

Modders and Ovlivion players, a short update. I do feel a bit shaky, dizzy and tired and it might be so that I will not be able to fall asleep right now, so I will talk about some music and also more about modding music. If I fall asleep over the keyboard, which I never done so far, you might notice if a single key get pressed down...

I tried to do a longer training session today. I went up early, planned to do 30-60 min or so but I ended up with making noices with the guitar for almost 2 hours. It did felt harder to start today but the sound result in the end was not bad at all if I may say so. So I did different kinds of lessons, some speed but I also had to spend the majority of the time getting the feeling right, go get rid of the sloppiness more or less. I will add 2 videos of music I did use for my training session today in the end of this now very long odd message, where I did find out some new stuff about myself. A bit of history, that might explain a lot firstly for myself. How often can we chock our selves with knowledge? Not often, ones in 10.000 years... :o

I did try to play:

  • Natural Science, Rush
  • ABBA S.O.S
    • a song I did had as a guitar lesson a week after the record was released but then we played it much more simple than I do now. I will record my version later on. Abba is great really. They sound so easy but many parts are very complicated for sure. They do make their stuff to seems so easy as that is what made them so great, making complicated stuff, sound perfect for the common masses. I also got to play Money money, Skall vi plocka körsbär i min trädgård och Lasse Berghagens: Jag har köpt mig en aukustisk guitar. So bloody annoying songs, the 2 last ones... This was around 1973-75 if I recall right i got those as lessons. Do search for the 2 last ones at Youtube and see what you can find... :D I did learn the first chord 1971, started in the public school of music in 1973, had the teacher Harris Larsson as main teacher, who owns Harris Musik in Mölndal. It should be possible to get all articles from our local morning paper GP, in english easy. The article is Swedish when I click the link. Harris looks demanding and a bit angry at that photo in the article I linked to but he was so humble and kind, never raised his voice. I felt so self confident playing with him. I could spend hours testing the different instruments in his shop, from strings, to keys and sticks and I recall his daughter was a bloody music genious as well, sweet and played and also sang like an angel. I did test it all and he just smiled at me. Poor fellow that had to listen to my bloody noices... My mom bought a Les Paul copy from him for €30 I think it was 1973 and I told Harris to adjust it, 2-5 times a year, as it sounded terrible and was so damn hard to play with. No matter how I tuned it, it did sound false and wrong. Even when I was extremely frustrated with it, he just smiled, told me thay will try to do their best. Damn: I wish someone could tell me how to annoy him :D but was that possible at all, I doubt it. I later bought another Les Paul, active, with 4 (no 5) inbuilt effects, like trembolo, dist, chorus and flanger I think it was. It sounded even worser than the first one. So then I had been decieved twice. After it was tuned, it did retune itself slowly but steady. I should had noticed the last one in the store but the sound did decieve me as well when the effects where activated. Damn I did just find that bloody bad sounded sh*t guitarr. I thought it was dead long ago. DMAN :O The thing it, mine looked exact like that. Did they steal it from me 1980? I used it with my first band 1979 and I did quit it, before they managed to kick me. :D We are still friends me and them, so we did not have hard feelings at all. Me and that guitar did not work with them and that's it. I did learn some of them how to play, as those soccer players was new beginners, within music and we did focus at Beatles. Many of them are extremely good today and I saw them perform 2013 last time. So damn tight, as TOTO these days. My first performance with them, the guitarr got a bit weat, 4 strings went of and I had to play with the 2 left which got retuned fast. What a pain for the ear it might had been... Audience? 10-15 only, so... No worries really... *Stops to rant about himself and takes a break*
    • maxresdefault.jpg
      • They do show the origin neck at the video for that guitarr and it explains why it did sound so wrong but also why 4 strings went off, almost at the same time. I bought loads of strings every week for it as they all went POFF with a bang. I should given it up before I even got the idea to buy it in the first place - But you know, stupid kids and their dreams and odd ideas. I do remember now that I had an idea to give it back a couple of days after I bought it, as I really thought it was possible to fix the problem with the neck, even easy for a pro. So they show booth necks in that specific video I did link to above the screenshot, in the middle of my ranting... :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: That guitarr also explains why the tension did grow in the band 1979, as I was not a bad musician then but the guitarr sounded terrible. It did effect me very negative, so maybe I was not tired of playing in a band but tired of my own performances, with that specic string thing.
        • I could ask my 2nd Cousin, Johan Iversen (Norweigan at birth), to make a comment about this as he did play in the band as well, percussion and joker. His job was to make us laugh and background singing. He is singing in a choir today and never did stop performing and he is good at it as well. Very good, with a much lighter voice then I have for sure. We did go to a concert together just a few months ago so... He is kicking around somewhere in Kungälv these days.
          • I did look at Youtube if he was there but only found a young guitar player, not my old 2nd cousin. I thought he was there really. Well the guitar player was so good, that I will listen to him more later.
            • tangled message - The more I find, the more I look, the more my mind get scrambled, 3 hours editing now? Sum up: Now I finaly understand why I could sound so damn good, playing at my yellow Charvel 1994 or my Friends white Jackson 1988 and so terrible at that guitar above, from 1979. I do recall it did not sound so bad when I played my classic nylon string that I use right now and that you will be able to listen to later. I did thought for a long time every electric guitar was lousy so I did not touch any until 1988 first again and I really thought I was lousy, nothing else. Damn me... :geek: How could I have been so mistaken about this - myself? Why did I touch that white guitar at all in the first place? Well I told Richard, the owner that I wanted to test it, as we had played together for a longer period, me on keyboards, as I had not played guitar for a very long time, and he said, Okay, but I usually never allow anyone to touch it, so be quick about it, will you, he replied. He gave me the angry look and I played like Mozart or/and Paganini and it sounded great immediately. We where both a bit chocked and looked like bird nests - WTF he said:  :yucky:  :ninja:  o_O
  • Kashmir, Led Zeppelin
    • That is not my favorite band. They made a lot of noises and crap but Kashmir is a master piece and it is possible to listen to Stairway to Heaven as well.... But that's it. I have listen to Kashmir almost ones every day for a couple of months now. We will listen to Kashmir together today here in this message.
  • KISS, Ace Frehley, Rocket Ride
    • This song should have been easy. I learned to play it 1978 already. I did stumble a lot with it today, got some ache in the left hand as well
  • Zappa, Packard Goose
    • First time I tried to play it and it did not sound so bad, not as bad as when I tried KISS, but I started with this, so I was not tired and had no sore finger tip's at this point.
  • Circumstances, Rush
    • Went okay, much better than expected after 2 years break.

So lets listen to 2 of the songs I did use for practice today and we all should try to mod away, trying to make something for the community today, if possible. I, myself, might watch something instead, somewhere, Youtube or SVT Play, that do not require much attention though. My energy is gone, the soul feels weak...

That works as well. I have had mostly silence now, to rest and slow down a bit, for 3 hours though right now. What I do like to listen to now, Oblivionaddicted, is complete silence even, not my common favorite, but it fits well this evening.

Few words about retuning the strings
I wrote about that the Les Pauls I used to have, that contsantly did retune them self earlier. The Yellow Charvel was the opposite. After you tuned it, you locked the strings in place and you could bend, drag them, use the bend arm in any direction without it lost anything. After you had beaten the strings with as much force possible without breaking them, it did sound exactly the same as before you got violent with it. Not many guitar's will be able to handle that for sure. It did. Richard's Jackson had the same but I was gently with it but it never lost any form of tuning, not a single millHz, not even watchable at the tune machine we used at the late 80,'s where we saw the frequencies, in high quality detail or rather resolution. Those small tuning aiders, made the tuning much faster and could even be used in very or rather even in extremely noisy places. They never failed.

Bass
A few words about my old Rickenbacker, that disappeared in the beginning of the 90's, but that is a different story, as I did store it at many odd places as I did jam with a couple of different constellations. I bought it from the guy that did own that black Rickenbacker, i did mention in a previous message, the one I failed to play YYZ on and I did think I would be able to make this wood colored light bass to sound good and I sure succeeded. I boiled the strings, washed it, removed the front mic as it made the bass to just sound sloppy, decreased the bass some at both the bass itself but also at the amplifier, to make it sound less low vibrated buzzing, to compensate for dismantling of the front mic. Well I managed over my expectations really.

I did give some stuff away, but never my bass, I gave the 2 Les Paul copies away to my former GF's little brother 1982 and my keyboards to a friend in Mölndal 1998, Svempus. I would NEVER give away that bass as I was in love with it. I carved out some 1800 (1900 cent) decorations and put them where the front mic used to be and it went from looking like the ugly duck, to become the lovely swan. I did not use it often when I got the keyboards, so it just disappeared from a rehearsal room I suspect but I did loose stuff from my apartment as well and I did had a frequent visitor that was period drug addict, so... He also played music, well mostly drums but could play anything as well and he was also part in some of my different temporary constellations back then. Well it took me a long time until I decided to test it again, but when I looked for it after a longer period without thinking about playing the bass, it where no where to be found and trust me, I did search everywhere. :/ You can never suspect someone if more than 1 items disappears but it was around 20 items or more, at many different occasions. He passed away in an accident so it is impossible to investigate it at all. I started to suspect him first a very long time after the accident took place. You do not miss something, not as long as you do not look for it, what ever it now might be. Like it took 14 years for me to notice that my Oblivion painting exchanger had disapeared from Nexus - Screenshots is there but the file it self is gone. I asked Nexus crew, Wrye, close friends, checked all my old drives and nada... :/ Wrye? Well, he did promote it at UESP, long time ago, so therefor I did ask him as well, if you would wonder and he did look at his old drives as well and tried to help me find the file...

The bass it self did look a bit like this by the way
IMG_3704.JPG?v=1571439124

The carvings I did put where the front mic used to be, looked a little bit like this, but cut through as I used a thin saw making it, not a knife which was used to make the one in this picture. So no 3D surface, just a more complex 2D thingy, a pattern, from an old Allerz, magazin from 1920-1930, that my old GF grandma had stored away. I made some of those around 1982, testing my skills in wood. You did most likely see similar patterns inside the HobbitHome as well if you visited it but some are viable at my Hobbit Home WIP as well.
baalbek-doorpost-carvings-in-the-temple-

I do like to add such patterns at ordinary textures, trying to make them look different and more custom, than nature made them. Not to much nor to less, just "LAGOM"

Okay good folks, time for the first draft. You can edit it if you want too as well it seems. 3 days practicing - The music starts at 22s in to this video

https://kapwi.ng/w/V57gTWebIv

What I need to fix tomorrow is a better microphone, maybe a wooden one that I attach at the guitar? Well I will figure something out as this mic was not so good. I also need to figure out how I will be able to increase my camera captions. Some pling pliong, klonk and klink and missplacing of the fingers. I did record an intro where I talk and I add it later or make a new recording tomorrow as well. I also need to pay for the Kapwing page as well in some way as this video is above 7 min which is the limit for the newly free account. I need to be more careful to stop klonkking with my right hand but sometimes it will just fit right - right?

This is so cool, thank you for sharing your session with us! Always very neat to see people share their talents, not just in modding

I know you said viewers can edit it, but I wouldn't dare mess with your stuff... I would probably want to turn the volume on the backing track down just a wee smidge though, so I can hear you better.

Love the freestyle you did at the end, very nice!
