AH1
I've searched both the Nexus and the Internet broadly to see if I could find anything like this, and I haven't so far. When I use spells that are suppose to have AoE like Chain Lightning, Fireball, etc. there is no AoE. The spell casts normally, plays normally, and does damage on the impacted target, but does no other AoE damage. In the case of Chain Lightning, it doesn't chain. I cannot cast Master level spells like Firestorm at all. The spell casts, and does the self-damage, but never triggers. I'm not sure what could be causing this, a mod perhaps? I do not have any mods that affect spells except the AFT plugin for no friendly fire and that doesn't seem to be the cause. I am also using Deadly Spell Impacts, but that, to my knowledge, only affects spell decal effects. The other thought I had was that it might be because I'm playing a custom race? But I haven't heard of that problem before. Any thoughts? Edited April 3, 2013 by AH1
EnaiSiaion
You/someone else peeked into their spell effects, didn't notice this sets its radius to 0, then saved.
AH1
Can you explain how to fix that for me please?
GrimyBunyip
download TES5edit, open it with your load order, and look through your magic effects for each mod
AH1
Great, thanks. I already have TES5Edit, so I'll pop that open and take a look. I don't recall ever modifying that value, but who knows, stuff happens.
AH1
Okay, it was AFT's no friendly fire mod that was the culprit after all. Is there a way to protect NPCs from friendly fire without reducing the AoE to 0?
