Ironman5000
I tried looking around for this problem but found nothing relevant to my problem so I thought I would give it shot here. I decided to try out some half life 2 mods today, everything was completely fine until I decided to change the resolution and now this mod will not load. My resolution is 1920x1080, so I thought I would see what happened if I chose 1600x1200 to see how stretched it would be but it just flickered for ages and had to CAD. Now when I try to launch it again I get this error message,http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/2051/34304371.jpgI followed it but the suggestions are to update drivers which I already did prior to installing any mods, and says nothing about how this happened to me. I cannot find any way to revert back to the original resolution settings despite completely uninstalling and reinstalling Like I said it worked fine before I touched resolution for this mod, and it is just this mod at the moment the vanilla game resolution settings are fine but don't allow for me to choose dimensions not suited for me. FYI HL2 is installed through steam, mods using Desura. Edited April 5, 2013 by Ironman5000
JimboUK
I'd try a reinstall, delete everything apart from the saves and get steam to replace it.
Ironman5000
I downloaded this mod from desura, not looked on steam properly yet does that make any difference? I did already try to reinstall including getting rid of the NH2 folder for this mod. I thought that would have been enough but the resolution change setting seems to be stored elsewhere. JimboUK
I had that but removed it when I had a cull of the stuff in my Steam folder. Try adding -h 1080 -w 1920 to the launch options for the game, if that don't work try using -autoconfig instead.
