MrDeftino
My Skyrim has recently been showing some graphical glitches. Here is a few screenshots of some I encountered the last time I played. http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/6961/tesv2013040300334479.png http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/5848/tesv2013040300415589.png Anybody have an idea as to what is going on? My settings are the default low setting except Texture Quality is on High. I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011. 2.4GHz Intel i5, 16GB RAM, Intel HD 3000 512MB. Running on BOOTCAMP Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Georgiegril
A macbook is not set up for Skyrim. You are seeing artifacting because your graphics processor is overloaded, and maybe overheating. If you want to try to play the game, I'd recommend removing all your lighting mods, and trying all settings on the lowest. If you loose the artifacting, then maybe try adding in a little at a time.I'd also check to make sure your drivers are up to date.If the artifacting is still there, you may need to reduce your texture mods. It may be that you are asking too much of your computer. Also I'd check your GPU temps, to be sure you are not overheating and causing damage to your computer. gsmanners
Well, the GPU is probably overloaded (as the above poster states), but I highly doubt that what you are seeing there is the result. If your GPU were overheating, it would probably cause your entire system to come to a crashing halt. Actually, what you're seeing there is that infamous mesh corruption bug which this engine has had since Fallout 3. I can't say for sure where it comes from, but I think it crops up because of certain optimizations in the Direct 3D code Bethesda uses.
